then call them and ask what is the purpose of this request.

u dont have to answer anything until their request is legit and you are comfortable to release the information over the phone.

U gave very scant data and you're asking us for advise?

eg
1. Which credit bureau malaysia?
a. this: https://www.creditbureau.com.my/default.jsp
or
b. this: http://creditbureau.bnm.gov.my/

very different animals ya - 1 = private, 1 = BNM

2. The letter stated already COLLECTED or they want to collect?
also very different response required
If already collected - er.. for what & for who?
If want to collect - my response would be: see my middle finger? who are U to ask me? If you're BNM and have the rights, you'd already get my CCRIS info liao

so - back to U.
what is this yah?
how to know/advise U before U call them when data is scant?

Here's suggestion I got from Facebook:

If you receive a letter from Credit Bureau Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., you have the rights to restrict and reject the use of your personal information. Example of a respond:

To: Info@creditbureau.com.my
Cc:warga_ppapk@treasury.gov.my
Hi, referring to letter sent from Credit Bureau Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. dated [letter_date] sent to [your full name as per letter] under address [address_as_per_letter], I wish to have my credit information removed from your record.
I wish to exercise my rights to restrict the use of my information under CRA Act 2010 Summary of Rights where page 2 stated: Your consent must be obtained before a credit reporting agency can disclose/reveal your credit information. This means that a credit reporting agency must get your consent before they can submit your credit report to their subscribers.
Appreciate your action and attention.

Doesn't sound right to release any financial information over the phone.

Suppliers / customers also sometimes check with Credit Bureau for you credit worthiness. Not necessarily when you apply for a loan only.
