I am thinking of adding a push mode fan in front of the radiator, on my persona. Checked around selling around rm170.
Reason to make the aircond cooler during hot afternoon.

Can anyone here show me how to tap the wire from the main radiator fan?

i think its better u use relay with ut additional fan.. so it should be more powerful compare direct tap to main radiator fan..

i thot persona fan is strong enough. and adding extra fan will put more load on the battery.

Your aircon already has its own fan blowing on the condenser. I doubt you have the space to add another fan.

Ha push pull eh? No, don't do it. Reason: Waste of electrical power and it can only cool faster but never bring the temperature lower than having one fan. You can only have a better fan and its management system.

Hi all,

I dun think it takes much electricity compared to my audio system. I also have another battery in the boot so i m not worry.

Can anyone here show me how to do the wiring?

I reli think it will have a significant effect on cooling....

Seriously, what's your main purpose of adding extra fan?
engine overheating? aircon not cold enough?
IF non of the above, why do u need to add fan?
IF it's one of the above, u need to rectify the root cause instead of adding fan.

If you're car cooling system (including the fans) are working properly then you should not need another extra fan in front of the radiator. If you still want more cooling power from the fan, rather than having another extra fan, I'd rather find a compatible fan with more blades if available, or maybe change the motor fan with even faster/stronger one. Another option is to use better radiator.

Btw do you actually have overheating problem? Or your aircon is not cold enough? Just want to understand the exact reason why you're asking to add extra fan. Coz if you're having one of these problems or both, then extrafan is actually not the real solution.

It makes more sense to change the existing fan to a more powerful unit, rather than adding another fan.

i think you don't need to add the extra fans ..

maybe you should check your air -cond gas , maybe ur air cond gas is too low that why you feel HOT tongue.gif

besides , turn on your fan speed to max level if you really feeling too hot ..

adding extra fan might not really help ..

It's not so much the speed and volume of air but the temperature of the surrounding air , in traffic jams you're talking about close to 40 degrees air temperature , even if you move 100x the amount through the radiator the air can only remove so much heat since it's already so heated up also

You plan to diy or ask shop to do ? If diy, the new fan through a relay and fuse and tap the signal from air cond compressor la. When compressor kick in fan will turn.

Relay normally got 4 terminal, use multimeter to find the 2 terminal that got ohm reading that is the coil terminal then the other 2 terminals are contact .
