QUOTE(voscar @ Jul 21 2018, 01:01 PM) Nope, even Vento 1.2 TSI still got owner experiencing DSG Overheat message when stuck on traffic jam to Genting. Dry clutch not really suitable for traffic jam condition... i see. if my area no traffic jam like mad, so should be fine? god damn they should just stop selling car that is incompatible to our driving condition. |

QUOTE(voscar @ Jul 22 2018, 12:57 AM) no problem, many vw diehards will tell you this is not an issue. worse case plan your journey well, avoid peak holiday season drive in NS highway/genting... change car after 2-3 years, upgrade to higher end vw model... lolz.. scary.. plus at my area no authorized dealer.. nearest service centre in Brunei |

QUOTE(unitron @ Sep 9 2022, 08:02 PM) I wouldn't say as reliable as a Japanese engine and gearbox, but Mk7.x lesser problem. Ok thanks for the info. For me lesser problem then is okay la. Dreamed of getting a golf, probably is a best opportunity to get a golf since it is so much cheaper at brunei. Also the 2.0 engine using the wet clutch DSG is the more reliable one compared to the 1.4 with the dry clutch DSG. Japanese car is rare at brunei, now is flooded with new kia and hyundai. Honda civic is non existence lol. |
