QUOTE(BlitzAce @ Apr 16 2016, 09:51 AM) Golfs (and apparently a whole bunch of 1.4 TSIs) from 2010-11 are pretty notorious for their motor blowing up (okay I'm exaggerating) and transmission replacements due to the DSG issues at that time. Most units at 2nd hand dealers just .. sit there and get their warranties void from negligence of service intervals. Iirc 1.4 with CAVE codes are the infamous ones.. Wow... 60K for GTi 09.. that's very closed to "selling to used car dealer price" If possible I'd reccomend getting a 2015 Jetta with the current promo. If you count the interest rate for used - new car I think it'll be pretty much the same or close, anyway. A dealer offered me 60k for a '09 mk5 GTI. Friend's price so I can't disclose where though, heh. Anyway Jetta now waiting period is closed to 3 months for that 88,888 units |

QUOTE(BlitzAce @ Apr 17 2016, 09:55 AM) What do you mean 3 months? Are they gonna make more Jettas..? Getting mixed answers from several dealers Ok basically this could be the scenario : (Thou i might not be 100% accurate) but i am sure its quite close. That would depend on what the R has. Sunfroof, Dynaudio, sport seats.. etc? Jetta 88,888 those cars is "2015 year made (tahun dibuat in our Grant upon registration) but think about this way. Car being shipped to Malaysia, then station at port (probably i would say 3-6 Months). So from then till now which is almost May 2016. That's probably average 1 year + time span? With the previously scandal and Mechatronic issue, VW's car haven't been selling quite well during this period. So now with the HUGE discount they are offering to customer, orders have been very well.. So those "cars" that been in the port for long time need to re-service and inspection thus register to customer. Imagine 2000 Cars++ how long they need to re-service and deliver to dealer That's what i know.. but some customer couldn't wait probably cancel.. they might just slot you in |

QUOTE(stasio @ Apr 17 2016, 03:02 PM) ^ Sorry, for my mistake.. Jetta is local assembly in Malaysia (CKD). So,no any CBU shipping to port,at least is not new facelift model, which I supose will be new price. From where you get this info? What i meant is, the Jetta had been at the plant for quite sometimes. As for the 3 months waiting period, i am sure it also depend on SA/Dealer. The info i get is from my ex-colleagues, they are SA from certain dealer. |
