anyway im driving golf mk7 2013, so far I faced

1. aircon hose leakage on driver seat
2. mechatronic issue

must be very unlucky of me.

Guys may I know if the engine change will affect the aircon compressor? So dissapointed with VW. Really stands for Visit Workshop.

getting tired of visiting the workshop and most of the time it wasted my whole day time over there.

really disappointed on FA Wagen services, the SAs are rude, didn't even try their best to fix my problem and simply recommend me to change my car part with sky high price. Crap them, will not return to them forever.

anyway, which service center you all visit usually with good service? preferable nearby PJ area.

May I know what problem exactly?
*
I have rattling sound in my car and I requested the SA to check for me to find out where does the sound comes from. The SA informed me that I need to leave my car overnight for inspection so I agree on it. The next day I tried to call him up and requested him for call back (which he is away from his desk) he did not do so, and that happens when I requested that for more than 5 times in that day itself. It when I called up for the 6th time he finally pick up the call and inform me that they fix the problem by adjusting or tightening up the speaker at my rear. I was informed that I could get my car the next day and I made an appointment with him I will pick up at 8.30 a.m.

So the next day I walk into to workshop 8.30 a.m. for getting back my car. The SA still not in so I decided to wait. I waited for more than an hour and he still not there so I talk with his colleague to check on my car status. None of them willing to help and said it's not their business and they can't help to check. Every information should be in their system and it won't be hard for them to check on it! I waited for another 20 minutes and I can't wait for it and start complaining to one of the SA who service me last time. He decided to help me to get my car key and pass it to me to drive back without telling me what has they fixed.

When I took back my car I decided to give a test drive to make sure they fix the problem, but unfortunately they did not. So I drove back to the workshop and talk to the SA who pass me my car key. What surprised me is that the SA answer me very rudely saying "if I want to complain don't complain to me, talk to my manager". This pissed me off and I talk to the manager and complains on my problem.

During my conversation with the manager, the SA who suppose to service my car came to work (10.30a.m.) and he explained to me that my car's suspension has harden which causes that sound comes out. The worst part is he told me the cost for changing the whole suspension will cost me 2,000 ringgit. I'm not convinced with his explanation so I decided to drive my car to one of my friend's workshop (he is servicing high end car at Sg.Besi). My friend help me to test drive and confirm the sounds does not comes from suspension, somewhere around the front driver seat area which we suspect it's the air con hose loosen.

So in the end I wasted 48 hour putting my car in FA Wagen workshop doing nothing and cheated by the SA for asking me to change something which it doesn't need to be change. That's basically the incident I faced so far.

That's why. The thing that makes VW a premium brand is that not only they're expensive (in Malaysia), their service network requires you to have a backup car at home on standby because their turnaround time is oh-so-terror. Not many consumers have that kind of profile, quite exclusive actually!

On a separate note, anyone have any clue if Takata airbag recall involve any of our VW models? I know that Tiguan USA 2015 was recalled.
*
what pissed me off is they need one day for inspection and another day for fixing. most of the time it will split into 2 weeks time as they always out of stock.

Hahaha I bought my car from FA Wagen. Haven't gone for 1st service yet. Reading up on places to go to. 10.4k mileage already .

There really isn't any particular outstanding SCs, judging from owner's comments, as everyone has got a bad experience even at recommended ones like Cergaz, Wing Hin, Swire Puchong.
*
I will give a try on Cergaz TTDI on my next service, even though their sales officer look down on my when I view on their car last time. tongue.gif

Hi guys. Yesterday I went and test drive a pre-owned Golf MK7 TSI at Ming Heng, Setapak. Got to know about it here.

http://www.mudah.my/2013+Volkswagen+Golf+G...it-47197494.htm

I liked the driving and everything but there were a few things missing from the car. Like the steering wheel is empty and the screen is smaller and only dual-tone (black and white, did not notice any other colors). You can look at it at the attachment.

I went to VW Glenmarie and at first, they were quite suspicious about it but said it was a mk7. When I mentioned Ming Heng they said that it's also a VW dealer but for pre-owned cars.

I booked the car already but a bit hesitant to proceed with it. Everything else looks fine tho. What'd you guys think?

Thanks

I doubt that's GTI model, never heard of GTI on 1.4 engine.

My car was bought from them 1 month old. They said will send the car to vw for inspection before give it to me. Even the service consultant are on their side and bluff me it was checked before. End up I need to go service myself and the air cond water drainage also blocked and need to enter workshop. Carpet all wet lmao.
Somemore the car you are viewing is the lousiest spec that I have ever seen and been sitting in their garage for quite sometime and nobody want it. You are better of getting second hand mk7 which cost around 92k but still under warranty

QUOTE(Vexation @ Nov 22 2016, 10:35 AM)
guys, is it wise to provide my vehicle's VIN number to an OEM parts dealer?

I need a replacement for one of my lights that broke and though the car is under warranty, I didn't want to go to an SC because it could be costly, i'll use an OEM lamp but replace the bulbs inside with the ones presently from my car.

So they've asked for my VIN number (in case they got the wrong part) and I thought maybe that isn't a good idea, but i'd like to know what you think?

Cheers.

shouldn't be a problem giving your VIN number, its standard for them to check for the right parts for you.
