It seems that you might have a corrupted "HOSTS" file in your windows, please check that file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts) --> open with notepad, the file must have all entries marked with "#" sign at start of each lines.1.tried changing the dns to 8.8.8.8

Example :-
The rest of the file should be empty, if there's an entry you will need to verify whether the entry is correct or not. A restart required after changes.
BTW, I'm assuming this is a personal computer & not corporate asset, some companies will have this file modified to suits their needs & if you modified the file you might end up some services no longer available to you.
