Looks/Quality wise.. A700 wins..but in terms of performance.. i don't think can really tell the difference unless see results from lab test.

I've been hand carrying my reg all these while (except for my latest tawau trip) with no issues. As for Philippines, have taken Cebu pacific to Manila and domestic to coron with no issues also.

Just got back from tawau yesterday. No problems with carrying my reg inside cabin. Trip was...Kul-KK (AA) > KK-TWU (AA) > TWU-Kul (MAS)
I think it's not because of which airline but because of who is manning the scanning station.. blink.gif

You'll be surprised that sometimes its cheaper buying stuffs here since sports equipment are exempted from custom tax.

All the above can consider as top line regulator for a recreational diver. U need to know which one u are comfortable with eg. the size/weight/comfort. But I can tell u one thing that most SP regs are a little wet when inverted.

There are many dive centers in Tioman.
As already mentioned, Abect (NAUI courses) is awesome, he is building his new dive center right now and will be moving to the new place shortly when come opening season.
Tioman Dive Center (TDC) is also great for PADI courses, it's just next to Swiss Cottage chalet which is a great value-for-money place to stay too. These two are in Kampung Tekek.

You can also try Kampung Salang which is nearer to the dive sites. There's Marine Monkees and B&J there. Both are also good and reputable 5 star PADI dive centers.
