As per what I've mentioned, new one costs about RM3.9k. So that's RM1.4k savings for me. I think overall the function is still in excellent condition.
I checked with www.coraldivestore.com. Haven't checked other places yet. The seller told me that the price might increase at the end of May. That's what I'm even more worried about!

Usually during MIDE will have lotsa bargains...but the SP MK25 offered is consider high end. I think with that kinda money.. u can get a whole new Cressi set. Depends on your preference really.

I prefer using backpack, i find it less straining on my shoulders and easier to walk with rather than having a sling bag banging on my thighs.

I was thinking of buying the mesh laundry bag from Daiso and sent it to a taylor to sew a pair of straps for me since I seem to find stores selling the Aropec brand. It's just fins, mask and snorkle for now so it aint that heavy yet. But I'll keep looking out for one that can handle more weight.

Thanks for your suggestion.

BTW, I'm already using the IKEA bag for dry stuff, I'm quite particular about separating my dry and wet gear/clothing/wallet/phone

IMHO, if you're a good swimmer, comfortable with diving, get a backplate directly, rather than buy something easy to use. because after a while, you'll be itchy and go for backplate anyway, as with me.

+1
..but first you need to know what's makes you comfortable in the water..and to know that, you need some dives inside your dive log..eg. do you feel more comfortable using a weight belt or an integrated weight / do you like that hugging feel of a jacket bcd etc. etc.
