yea. am definitely going to rent the DC. Btw, since it's going to be an unknown model, i should ask them to give me a fresh (not used for at least 24 hour DC) right? still saving up for my own DC.... why the heck RM is so crap now.. lol..
*
Yea, they should be renting you a fresh one. I'm sure you can check with them when you get the DC, and also check yourself when you have your hands on the DC. smile.gif

The one in your photo is Gull brand. You can find the distributor store at Rainbow Runners.

Other than that, IST also has something similar and cheaper. You can find IST brands at Scubatex.

Hi,
Would like to ask where did you guys take your DM course?

Is there any dive centre that offers exchange programme, like working there for a period of 3 months and in return they will certify my DM license and includes my accommodation and meals?
*
Depends where you wanna get your DM done. You can check with the respective dive centers, different dive centers have different packages. Local and overseas.

I doubt any of them will do free course for you in exchange for working there for few months these days. But you pay a small fee for the course which mostly include food and accommodation for few months.

Otherwise, check with photopro to see if he has any openings for DMT in his Perhentian DC.

Ahh in that case it's consider as DM internship right?
Cause I heard there are quite some numbers of DC in Tioman is doing exchange programme, they offer free courses including accommodation and meals and in return the person needs to work there for three months. I have seen people exchange for OW/AOW or even RD before, but not sure whether DM course is included anot thats why asking  biggrin.gif
Ahhhh i see. I saw lots DC in Phuket and Pattaya Thailand is recruiting too. Gonna do some researches before apply. Thanks anyway!  smile.gif
*
I'm sure they are DM internships. Just have to ask around. Check with the instructor you wanna do it with. A good instructor makes a difference as you want to learn from the most experienced and the one that is willing to teach you all he knows. Have fun researching wink.gif

HI ya,

Been busy with work since back from OW in Tioman.
Any kaki for the dive at  PUSAT AKUATIK DARUL EHSAN, correct me if I am wrong,
it is the only place in KL area that open to public for diving ya.
I did not have any gear so will rent the gear and saw full package RM 70.
Anyone going pls let me know as my gang only myself diving T.T
*
wkkay, interested?

You can also do diving at PJ Palm Sport. It's shallower but much cleaner than PADE though. Prices are slightly more expensive if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the recommendations. To those who went to tioman and dive, did you all go to mersing jetty by bus or drove yourself?

if by your own, is it safe to park there for few days? hmm.gif
*
The bus station is a bit of a distance to the jetty, but with it much luggage, the walk is pretty easy unless it rains then prepare raincoat/umbrella.

Car park there is alright. We usually drive there on our own. There is the car park directly next to jetty which is more expensive but got quite some shady areas for parking. Then the other side near the food court there less shady area, more open car park spaces, cheaper too. Also available are other private car park owners further a bit from the jetty but the pak ciks usually will fetch you and your luggage to the jetty, rm10/night I think.

As long as you keep all valuables out of sight and out of the car preferably, it'll be fine.

ah ok if that's the current practice now it should be fine gua. it makes more sense for me to go mersing directly from muar than to go back kl again and take a bus.  laugh.gif
*
If want public transport, check and see muar got bus to mersing or not. Cause there's bus from JB or SG to mersing also. biggrin.gif

When are you going? tongue.gif

We gave up planning for trips already. It always goes from 15 people to 10 than those that actually goes = 5.
No point for the person organizing.
*
Yea lor. Do like recent perhentian trip, go there meet up and dive. Just set dates and dive center, accommodation all on own, up to our own comfort level tongue.gif

QUOTE(ukiya @ Dec 15 2015, 02:27 PM)
all u need is just committed kaki only...
dont so plan so far la... as in distance and price...

plan near near like an annual dive trip to nearby island in Malaysia lah... Only once every 2 year once go oversea.

like yesterday ... I m tried to ask n called about 12 persons asking them whether wanna go Bali or not!? Return flight baggage with 30kg, in flight entertainment, during raya break no need take so many annual leave, foods included. Only 3 confirmed... all said too far, very hard to predict future activities...

All only just for RM285.90 return flight Bali, taxes, 30kg return baggage, foods all included. But only 3 confirmed...  ohmy.gif

Try plan somewhere near lo.. I have some plan plan coming soon..
*
Yea, these days I rather join other ppl dive trips than organize my own for new people to join also.

Other than that, just plan for small group of close friends that I know have no issues confirming the trip, or just go solo.

Can please give me link where you get the information? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif been looking around seems like there is no dive shop in Langkawi that utilize the net.  ohmy.gif  shakehead.gif
*
Yea not many dive centers to choose from on that island.

I've dived with ProDive before. Contacted them via email (prodivelangkawi@gmail.com). An Andrew replied my email then and gave me good rates for my dives.

They are more focus on snorkelling trips over there compared to diving.

East Marine is the other one which I know of.

If you have a bit more to spend, just fly to east malaysia or thailand and get it done there.
