In Malaysia
All utility is done by the developer, TnB, Syabas, Telekom wont give a f*&^. you don't have it done, they don't connect it, you don't get certificate of completion. There is a fixed distance between pole that they have to comply, no actual guideline as to where each pole is to be place. did they "accidentally" put one in front of your gate ? |

i guess as long as the pole doesn't obstruct your gate or so. it's still livable.

I remember someone paid few k to TNB to remove the lamp post infont of the house (partly blocking the gate or something like that
