Hi everyone. I'm a n00b in property talk. I have a stupid question lol. blush.gif Anyone here knows whether it is TNB's right to deploy lamp pole on any place they like, or they just deploy them according to the developer's blueprint? Thanks in advance. notworthy.gif

It depends.
Within strata tittle areas, should be developer. Or else should be the local authority.

All utility is done by the developer, TnB, Syabas, Telekom wont give a f*&^. you don't have it done, they don't connect it, you don't get certificate of completion.
There is a fixed distance between pole that they have to comply, no actual guideline as to where each pole is to be place.

did they "accidentally" put one in front of your gate ? tongue.gif

It's a new housing development. After the house were completed, they planted a lamp post directly opposite my house. From the marking on the road side, it's supposed to be a house further away.

I'm no fengshui dude... but I heard Chinese very pantang about this. This will affect the property price if I were to sell it in the future.

I complained to the developer but the developer pushed it to the TNB and said it's up to TNB where they want to plant the pole. But I think they are lying.

i guess as long as the pole doesn't obstruct your gate or so. it's still livable.
