First of all.You posted in the wrong section. 
One of the mods will move this to Hardware.Anyway,what's the Z97 mobo that you've?If you want to overclock,you also need a good aftermarket cooler.
For your usage,the 4 extra threads i7 4790 and 4790K have will be helpful.If you don't wanna OC,just get Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz RM969.
