Hi, want to ask do anyone have more info regarding the NVlink?
Since that it is said to remove the bottleneck caused by PCIe, does it mean it need a brand new motherboard design for it to work?

QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Dec 10 2015, 04:04 PM) The whitepaper details on the GPU to GPU connection (p2p) only. The connection to CPU is still through PCI-E. NVLink for CPU-GPU is being implemented by IBM for supercomputers only. IMHO, if NVIDIA want to implement NVLink succesfully, then it can be through:- i) akin to SLI bridge ii) Dual GPU cards It seems unlikely that NVIDIA will introduce 2 variants of GPU i.e. 1 for PCI-e interface, 1 for "NVLink" interface.. Hmm... if it is only to allow GPU communicate each other, then I think NVLink maybe won't make any noticeable different to us... I thought it will be innovative move like Intel i7...

Hi, need some suggestion from you all... I'm having PSU with 550W, ATI R7 260X and planning to upgrade but with limited budget now... Should I sell my GPU and get GTX 970 (which is what I afford to buy now, and will upgrade again if I have more money)? Or save more money now to wait for Pascal, then upgrade PSU and GPU altogether? I want to use the desktop for gaming in Ultra settings...

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Feb 10 2016, 05:09 PM) For me, maxed out means 'Full settings' at 1080p, with the lowest AA possible (e.g FXAA - poor man's AA). I am not a 60fps gamer, as long as the game is smooth then its fine. My rig is turning 6 this March *touch wood* and it still handles GTA V maxed out at 1080p really well (i7 870, 8Gb RAM, GTX 970). Only upgraded GPU -> 460 > 680 > 970 and OC'd the CPU Haha, I thought everyone will assume I mean 1080p and triple A title... Anyway, I have decide to upgrade to GTX 970 first... thanks for suggestion
