QUOTE(dragon528 @ Oct 28 2015, 04:58 PM) Hi sifu here, Non-reference (Custom cooler) & Reference card (nvidia blower cooler). I'm planning to upgrade to GTX 980 Ti. I have only 1 question. What's the major difference between: MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming MSI GTX 980 Ti I did some research, more on Ti Gaming. But I can't find any comparison for these 2 card and the price is quite big gap between them. From the official website, it only show that Ti Gaming have 3 OC profile. Any comment? Higher Factory OC Clock vs Stock Clock. for me, i think i'll get the reference card due to my casing setup, and its already very powerful anyway without OC-ing and ref cooler cooling is good as well. |

QUOTE(INGfusion @ May 9 2016, 01:38 PM) i thought what they show is Founder Edition? no?after reading it, the conclusion is: AIB pricing starts from $600. Nvidia Ref Cooler (Founder Edition) is = $700?? http://www.gamersnexus.net/news-pc/2427-di...n-and-reference This post has been edited by sai86: May 9 2016, 01:48 PM |

QUOTE(TheHitman47 @ May 9 2016, 02:37 PM) yeah, according to them they just no longer going to use the word "reference", its gonna be "founder edition" now. for once, i thought like the others - Ref : $600. FE = special cooler / cherry picked chips = $700 = 2 model from Nvidiafancy eh mana tau its the other way round more curious on 1070 pricing and performance at our shore. time to play waiting game. |

i'm curious what cooler will be use by AIB partner on $599 model. old ref design cooler? (if there's one at this price point)
since the new design is FE at $699, else, can we safely assume that AIB non-ref design will be higher than FE? This post has been edited by sai86: May 10 2016, 08:48 AM |

QUOTE(kianweic @ May 10 2016, 01:50 PM) I hope that one of the partner would use Artic Cooling tri-fan cooler for both GTX1080 and GTX1070. However, I think I would have to wait for a few months for that (after the official release that is). AFAIK only few AIB use AC HS - Galaxy, KFA, Inno and some non-exist in malaysia AIB. iinm. else other AIB has their own signature cooler already. |

QUOTE(drkpower @ May 30 2016, 02:50 PM) Last friday go to etech. they said AIB version for 1070 would be around RM2k to RM2.1k, FE would be RM2.3k to Rm2.4k really nice price if its true. Nice price i think QUOTE(SSJBen @ May 30 2016, 04:15 PM) Now all that's left to wonder is how well the 1070 will actually OC. These reviews don't know jack about pushing the limits. Guru3d OC of able to gain around 10fps is good already and i believe AFC will be able to push it even more further. Good luck to 980Ti sellers though. Higher than 1070 price, no one will buy. Lower than 1070 price, you lose nearly 50% of the price on the 980Ti depending on model. yeah, sad part on 980ti. they can only sell it to jump to 1080, no point getting 1070 for them at all. now we don't need no.1 high end gpu to get 60fps @ 1440p. No.2 will do now |

QUOTE(Vannus @ May 30 2016, 05:25 PM) i think its hard. 60fps also barely lepas. on the benchie. unless turn down settings as usual. QUOTE(SSJBen @ May 30 2016, 04:34 PM) SLI for Maxwell has been utter shit. just out 2hrs ago. but i don't think they include FT after OC all the while I know first hand, went from dual 970 to a single 980Ti. Guru3D didn't show the frame time after OCing. All they did show was avg.fps which means nothing. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gefor...s_review,1.html This post has been edited by sai86: May 30 2016, 05:36 PM |

QUOTE(M1X @ May 31 2016, 04:57 AM) which makes this gen is so worth it to upgrade~ 1440p 60fps is all I need. yeah. this card really hit the sweet spot if its <RM2k or so. question - Nvidia DSR works exactly the same as AMD VSR? Able to set desktop to higher resolution too? cuz I'm using VSR to 1440p everything on my 1080p screen... broke as f**k now need to start accumulating a bit of fund... plus it even have 8GB VRAM will serve well for CUDA rendering, exactly what I needed. I didn't expect this card to have 8GB before really, thought it will be lower, but heck this is a surprise. i juz upgrade my WC |

QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ Jun 1 2016, 01:07 PM) Erm, I thought the red team would come out with the HBM2 ? No ? HBM2 - still expensive as shit like HBM - hence i believe both team delay or reserve for highest end / expensive cardSo what does it mean for NVIDIA ? Stick to GDDR5X for the mean time ? I still doubt there's going to be HBM2 for the 1080 ti ...... QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Jun 1 2016, 01:43 PM) Correct me if I'm wrong but it's only mentioned in WCCFTech article. Other announcement didn't specify the price for 8GB version. Is it WCCF's assumption? we will know soon, the card won't reach any sooner. few days before its hardcore launch, they will release all the info just like 1080. |

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Jun 2 2016, 09:04 AM) It seems like I will most likely getting 1070 OC ver instead of 1080 after reading the review. The dollar per performance of 1070 is much better than 1080. I can use the xtra funds to invest on my 2k monitor or use it in getting my PS4 Neo on Sep M-ATX is sexy and small However, most likely I will not be doing SLI for it as I plan to make M-ATX form factor instead of ATX. I'm still struggling whether I should go for either one of these. lel. fail to link, juz clink the small arrow QUOTE(sai86 @ May 31 2016, 09:54 AM) This post has been edited by sai86: Jun 2 2016, 09:11 AM |

I wonder will $599 "ref" edition will have 2 x8 pin like non-FE to maximize OC performance compare to 1x8pin.
getting the $699 to slap a waterblock is kinda waste the $100. $599 ref card + WC = |

QUOTE(richard912 @ Jun 3 2016, 01:49 PM) FE is with 8 pin power. As seen in Computex, no-FE versions are 6+8 pin for better stability for OC since non-FE will be with different levels of OC by the respective AIB yea, bcoz non-FE pcb surely will be custom unless these WB manf. make WB for each vendor non-FE PCB version which i don't think they will - only the famous like Asus ROG will get custom WB from EK,etc. |
