yes i checked the fans are spinning, i see other ppl temp at idle same card not reach 60 degrees onli 35degree

but that oversea ppl might have ac or winter temp,

if something wrong with card i am  screwed, might return it

wonder if anyone here use the same card and can confirm

later when come back home i'll show temp idle and load

Idle at 60C is a tad high in my opinion. Furthermore, your card doesn't seem to have the 0-dB fan feature, so the fans will always be running. From my personal experience of testing a few brand's GTX 970, I had a Palit Jetstream that idles at roughly 45C, and this is with 0-db fan feature (fan doesn't spin < ~65C). I suggest you can contact your seller on this issue.

Having run GPUs from different camps of different generation, I can assure you that GTX 970 isn't a very hot running card at all. Perhaps your room does have poor ventilation. sweat.gif

People get hyped for several different reasons, maybe this won't amaze you easily but it doesn't apply to all people out there, just look at the cheers and sound from the audience on the livestream.

There is no judgement made here since we all haven't had any chance to test it yet, all the results were based on the statistics released by Nvidia, some of us are just happy and surprised to see the improvements and the technology enchancement over the current gen card (soon to be known as last gen).

What the graph was just trying to say is the amazing power/performance one can possibly expect with this upcoming GTX 1080 card. I don't know what is so misleading about that. It is normal for manufacturers to want to boast about their new product, after all. But I do agree, let's wait for official benchmarks before concluding anything.

Haha may i ask now still got people using fermi yeah laugh.gif i stay away from fermi b4 due 2 infamous heat problems doh.gif and chosen amd for 3 years hahahaha

I am bro. Hahaha, found an ancient GTX 580 and it is rocking my rig now. Hardly play games lately, this old boy still can give decent performance at Low/Mid settings. laugh.gif

Fermi Gen 1, aka GTX 480 had serious heat issues. GTX 580 was much better in terms of acoustic and thermal performance.

according to evga, gtx 1080 will be available worldwide at launch

Looks like hard launch, with availability on May 27th itself, rather than paper launch.

"At last, we will have revenge". Lol, I wonder what revenge one would have for the GTX 1080. tongue.gif

Kudos to Nvidia for another breakthrough performance, though expected for a flagship class graphics card. At least until the big Pascal GPU comes out.

Is the card really dead? Or just being decommissioned and replaced by the GTX 1080? tongue.gif
