If it does come with specific instructions to do so, then it is on the user to follow. I think generally this applies to any software driver update but... to cause 'failures'/'inability to boot normally' ; that is something else entirely. The fact that future drivers "fixed" this issue and not continue to let users to do a clean install, to me clearly this is the fault on the driver part. Yeah! All hail the Order of 10!
