QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Apr 6 2016, 10:24 AM) Did you play Total War (Attila preferable) ? Nope, didn't play that, these game type should be CPU intensive isn't it

QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Apr 6 2016, 01:57 PM) Some like unit numbers, shadows and particles etc are CPU bound. Others like textures etc are GPU. not quite interested with this version, maybe try on Warhammer

QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Apr 6 2016, 02:41 PM) Warhammer probably wont be enough using 750ti. I'm planning to upgrade soon for Warhammer too. no problem lah, current minimum requirement is C2D series and GTS450, recommended setup is i5-4570, GTX760 only, GTX750Ti and GTX760 isn't much different http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php...temrequirements

QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Apr 8 2016, 09:00 AM) That 'a bit more' tu la will decide whether sticking with i3 or go to i5... If you are a serious gamer who like everything in high-ultra setting, everything must be smooth 60+ fps and playing VR, you should at least have i5 with actual quad core or even i7 4C/8T If you just a leisure gamer, don't mind 30-60fps gaming with mid-high setting, i3 is more economical. eventhough 2C/4T, it still consider as quad core

QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Apr 8 2016, 09:41 AM) What about serious gamer who can't afford i7xxxxk i5 of course with the highest speed you can afford my tactic is always like this, get a basic rig, upgrade it when got extra money ----------- I got a curious question to all Nvidia user, notice the Nvidia control panel 3d setting with setting call power managerment. default is adaptive, I see some forum say set to maximum will get better performance from the card. I checked with GPU-Z when no gaming, GPU/MEM speed at low, when I change the setting to max, GPU/MEM constantly running at high speed, of course the heat also going up a bit during idle The question is constant stress the GPU will it shorten it's life?

QUOTE(g104 @ Apr 8 2016, 11:47 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Power Management Mode: This setting makes use of a modern GPU's abilities to support different performance levels depending on how much power is required. Normally, the graphics card will monitor GPU load, and when under minimal load, will lower its clock speeds (downclock) to what is known as 2D or Idle clock speeds - the lowest possible speed - in order to save power and reduce temperatures. This occurs when using the Windows Desktop for example. This setting does not alter that behavior, instead it controls what happens when the GPU is operating at what is known as 3D clock speeds, which are activated when running games and other 3D applications.
The available options are Adaptive and Prefer Maximum Performance. If Adaptive is chosen, the graphics card automatically steps down in clock speed in games and 3D applications if they aren't generating a high GPU load. If Prefer Maximum Performance is chosen, when running any game or 3D application, the GPU will maintain its maximum clock speed regardless of load. The Adaptive setting shouldn't cause any problems in modern games, as the GPU will always run at full speed when required without interruption. However, in old games which generate much lower GPU loads, the graphics card may constantly downclock when set to Adaptive, and this may cause issues such as fluctuating performance and stuttering. Alternatively, using the Prefer Maximum Performance option should also be fine, as most games require maximum clock speeds for optimal performance, but you may run into situations where the GPU does not properly downclock back to 2D clock speeds once the game is exited.
I recommend that Power Management Mode be set to Adaptive under Global Settings. For any games for which you believe your GPU is constantly downclocking, you can change this setting to Prefer Maximum Performance under the Program Settings tab to ensure the highest possible clock rates at all times. Remember that this setting only relates to games and other 3D applications, not to 2D applications or the Windows Desktop. Note also that if you run a multi-monitor and/or high refresh rate display your idle clocks may be slightly higher regardless of this setting, which is normal.
http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_7.htmlThanks for the explanation, the curious part is why the GPU also running in high speed even I do nothing staying at desktop only? There is no background game running, I even close all browser just to make sure. The CPU no loading, MEM at normal min use, HDD no loading, just the GPU running at high speed I turn it back to adaptive and reboot the system, it is back to normal now

QUOTE(hafiez @ Apr 23 2016, 08:10 PM) install the driver properly then u wont faced that bricked GPU Thousands of users complain in Nvidia driver forum, I don't think thousands of them not install properly There must be some coding causing old card to brick and I can't consider my card is new (even though I just bough it 3 months ago, 750Ti is 2 years tech)

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Apr 29 2016, 06:24 PM) What people never understand with new drivers is that; if it ain't broke, don't change it. Why people love to tangan gatal change new drivers every month? It's not about tangan gatal, I do admit if nothing broke, don't upgrade, but due to Vulcan support, we have to upgrade if we need to play game using Vulcan. 365.10 looks stable, but I will keep watching the driver thread, standby old driver file before really upgrade it p.s. still using 362.00
