Pretty sure it's not a four year wait lol. I'm also guessing around end of this year before Ti comes out. If keluar Ti jangan jelly  whistling.gif

i think the 4 is "for" tongue.gif

also i am guessing my new rig this end of year will use the GTX1070 first (budget constraint) since its touted to be "better" than Titan X

Either go full on... wait for 1080 Ti

or go for 'value'... get the 1070.  laugh.gif

Reason; 1080 Ti will most likely give you 60fps at 4k on triple-A titles max settings. The 1080 still can't quite get there.

1070 on the other hand; when OC'd should come close to the 1080 which would make it an amazing value GPU; perfect for 1080p and 1440p gaming.

that's my plan all these while actually, 1070 until at least 2017-2018, then go all out for next gen Volta brows.gif

just hope that this coming 1070 will last at least a few years

so with the GTX1080 at 3.3k, we can estimate the GTX1070 will be around 1k cheaper? like around 2.2-2.3k?

Base and boost clock differences as well as cooling. Sea Hawk and Gaming X versions look very promising with the former on permanent OC while the latter is on switchable OC modes.

Also notice that some of the AIB cards are still on 6+8 pin for power
*
I am not familiar with OC, not gonna do OC stuff either but permanent OC sounds...dangerous to me for some reason lol sweat.gif

will it shorten the lifespan of the card?

Factory set OC is generally "safe" because they would have included better cooling to balance it. In the case of the Sea Hawk, it come with an AIO cooling
*
i see, hmm if MSI would do Sea Hawk version for GTX1070 I would buy that (since I don't have to mess with the OC thingy), unless its cost 3k or something crazy like that

I guess will have to wait out this "frenzy/honeymoon" period so that the price will calm down and hopefully, go down, even only for a bit will be good enough
