we thought those fiji low stock was bad. now with rumors that hbm2 will also be low on supply, and amd going to get priority. thats gonna suck for nvidia

i'm wondering though should i get a gp100 or a gp104 ? not really sure whats the difference other than the former will come first. will it follow the same strategy that the higher end card comes out first ? cause i rather get that card if thats the case

Is my Intel 3770 ivy bridge going to be enough :/ ? don't really feel like upgrading that until cannonlake. Also wondering how the amd zen will turn out, whether it will rock the boat in the cpu market kek.

After contemplating between a 390x and GTX980, finally decided to go for the GTX980. Granted that 390x is way cheaper and almost on par with 980 but I decided for the 980 due to lower power consumption and less heat. GTX980's overclocking headroom is also better but I don't normally overclock my parts nowadays except for testing..... old already.... 

Nice to be able to easily plop in the card, replacing my MSI GTX760, with the same 8-pin + 6-pin PCI-E connectors. Also great to see that the power consumption is about 190w (based on reviews) as compared to 165w on the old MSI.

Luckily my coolermaster 690 casing was able to accommodate the card, only with less than 2cm to spare!

And so, my first high-end card after using mid-end cards all my life!!!! (AMD 9600 pro, 7800 gs, 8800gts, 8800gt, GTX260, GTX460)

Now thinking whether I should go 1440p  (gaming on 1080p all my life too!)

Yup, price from Newegg is USD174 (170+4 shipping) , which will equal MYR724, plus 6% GST is MYR767 . Asus Malaysia price with free thumb drive is MYR879 , 112 ringgit difference.

Seems the GTX950 dont have free game . Kind of expected seeing it is a budget card. 

Designwise the EVGA one looks quite premium . Might get  one from Amazon 

And mark up 50% without gst yet

You make it sound like there's no monopoly in the US. Newegg and Amazon not monopoly then what are they called?

Prices look cheap there because of several things:

1) Tax is not inclusive and depending on the state, tax rates are DIFFERENT. Think like GST 6% throughout the whole nation?
2) They have mail-in rebates. But do you know how much of a hassle mail-in rebates are?
3) The market there is far, far, farrrrr bigger than our puny ass market where people are complaining about why their intergrated GPUs can't run high-end games. Quantity dictates prices in the US.

not sure what you're getting at because your screenshot looks the same as the ranking on the website if it still isnt updated. mGPU = multi GPU btw.

gtx 1080 is already comfirm to be faster than a  gtx 980 SLI and 2x faster than a titan x

so which benchmark should i believe

u can buy 3 or 4 cards but there will be no driver support from NVIDIA. max 2 gpu for SLI
