Guys, can I check with you all. I plan to get Palit Super Jetstream 980Ti. Just wondering roughly how long has this 980Ti been released? Cause I do not want to have the issue that 1/2 months after I got this card, another card that has better horsepower released and make my card looks sourgrape. haha.

QUOTE(Minecrafter @ Oct 9 2015, 02:36 PM) Hmmm... I'm in the middle train now. Whether I get it now or wait for Nvidia release next series. But we all know that every series released date is like getting longer and longer. Arghhh headache.... I check the review of the card. Actually not all games are running nicely in 2k resolution using this card. I still can see the lowest fps can reach around 30+ or below. I think the next series card will be able to handle 4k resolution. cross finger on this.... |

So basically the price announced for 1080 is actually much expensive than the initial price of 980Ti right? Cause i have been waiting this Nvidia card released before getting my new PC. So the price point now for 1080 seems like will be around Rm3.5k for that card. But the 1070 is also not cheap as well which the price may reach at around RM1500. So does it mean getting 2x1070 card SLI is better than getting 1 piece of 1080? Cause the price gap is abit...... too much....

QUOTE(goldfries @ May 9 2016, 10:28 PM) 1070 is estimated to start at RM 1700. Ok got it. Guess I will just wait for the price released then I will decide which card I will be getting. Hope gaming under 2K resolution with max setting can come true. If not then I will just jump back to 1080p resolution.Don't ever use exchange rate to gauge the price. I use x5 because you know la, price already then shipping then add GST and all. |

I believe it is a great upgrade from my nvidia 670 to 1080. Just that I'm looking forward to the price of 1080. If 1080 price is below 3k. Then I will get it, if not.... Its either I wait the price drop or just get the 1070 for my new PC. Looking forward to see the performance difference between 1070 and 1080. But If I'm getting 1080. For sure I will need to setup a 2k Resolution PC instead of 1080p. Nvidia 1080 is really overkill applying 1080p reso.

QUOTE(skylinelover @ May 12 2016, 03:03 PM) QUOTE(g104 @ May 12 2016, 03:19 PM) I'm still wondering whether 1080 can run 2k resolution game ultra setting smooth or not, as 980Ti is still not quite impressive enough for some of the games with Ultra setting. Not for FPS with just 40+ though. |

MSI 1080 Gaming X is my current target. Waiting its review and price announced. Then I will snatch it and get my new PC. However I realize Singapore is much cheaper getting rather than in Malaysia. Although is just a RM50 different @_@

Actually I'm very interested in dual 1080 SLI result. This would be an easy jump from 2k to 4k resolution without purchasing next gen graphic cards.

QUOTE(norazwan79 @ May 28 2016, 07:35 PM) Ya. But if comparing 1070 sli and 1080 sli, you can imagine the performance diff. Right now based on the benchmark, the games that run under 4k resolution can reach at least 40fps, but haven't reached the achievement of having single card running at 60fps. I believe 1080 sli definitely can run for 60fps under 4k. For 1070 sli.... we might need to wait for the benchmark of it first. If 1070 sli really can hit 60fps on 4k resolution, I will change my mind in getting 1070 instead of 1080. |

It seems like I will most likely getting 1070 OC ver instead of 1080 after reading the review. The dollar per performance of 1070 is much better than 1080. I can use the xtra funds to invest on my 2k monitor or use it in getting my PS4 Neo on Sep
However, most likely I will not be doing SLI for it as I plan to make M-ATX form factor instead of ATX. I'm still struggling whether I should go for either one of these. |

I'm currently staying in SG, and I'm going to build a new Rig in SG. But I have checked all the prices and I did not get the SGD600+ in any of the shops in SG.
Funan Digital Mall is going to close down soon, guess Sim Lim Square is the only place to visit next month onwards. |
