There's greed, especially in local distributor & dealers (cartel). There are products that exceed x8 too, especially audio video products. It's like buying a Mustang locally.

The 970 struggling in Witcher 3 already, wish to enjoy that game in full quality so I've been waiting until I can upgrade.

From the benchmark I see, the 1080 is about 2x faster than 970, so I think it will be a worthy upgrade, and also nice performance boost 

Do a self group bulk purchase and its up to willingness to pay a little extra for the hard work to get it done. We can bypass those greed with a little extra effort

The drive bay is removable and can be attached in other areas.

I have two of these cases.

Quite sturdy and not too heavy also (as compared to Silverstone TJ10 ESA edition, which I previously owned), I managed to transport this entire casing (including the installed components) to Jakarta.

I brought it a long as checked in baggage.

Took the 40kg limit for AirAsia.

RX 480 8Gb price released, RM1249.

Awesome price for a GPU which is as powerful as a GTX980 based on benchmarks.

Don't know yet. I think the price now is overly inflated.  I'll wait for both AMD and Nvidia to come out with complete range of competing cards, then I believe the price would rationalize. Then I see how it goes.

If just going by Firestrike result, my current GTX 970 SLI rig setup still above the best (as of today) single GTX 1070 rig by 1,000+ pts. So why would I want to spend RM 2K+ to get roughly the same performance.

I think earliest October, if not early next year.
