My original heart is Altis, but Veto overruled. Choose G spec, as I like acoustic glass and rear disc brake, but my family made  noise on the extra 6k cost. Settle on E spec.. But one day, drove my "2nd wife" to big cities, many Vios there civilized with superb nice body skirting and RIM  on the road.

Here goes the changes I made :- but,i don't tell yr family abt it.. Emmh...as they don't really notice/care what car changes, but only extra COST..

1. Choose GX body skirting, as many TRD on the road and GX is new variant spec. 1xxx, GX extra 100 compared to TRD.
2. Cut exhaust output pipe, added exhaust head chrome. 100
3. Order normal front chrome grill bar, darker front chrome not suitable / nice for 040 super white II color. SC 4xx, Accs shop 120 - 180 . Genuine chrome grill bar from SC looks awesome.
4. Search many tyre shops, finally get forummer help to get GX Rim from Service Centre(SC). Cost 1541
5. Change rear number plate bulbs and front small lamp bulbs t10  from yellow to white.do not get Made In Ch bulbs.. Get Philips / Osram .. Cost 85 - 160 / pair.
6. Order G and X emblem from SC, at 44 and 77 respectively.

Step by step.. do it gradually if you can afford it.

Will recommend GX if anyone want to buy Vios..

What's wrong with the head unit?
yup nothing worry about.
i dont really wait for the light to turn off, though i start the engine and let it idle for a min or so before driving (only in the morning) to let the engine warm up a little.

i just notice something lately, perhaps it was there all along but i didnt notice it.
1. there is a "squish" sound when i drive in the morning, after that no more. notice this sound for a few days. when driving no "squish" sound, but if stop the engine for few hours, the sound will come back when turning.
2.the engine sound kinda "rough" when driving around the 30 - 50 kph.

thinking of highlighting the issue when i do the 5k service.

ohhhhh, totally forgot about the insurance premium thingy, and i thought they dropped the price so fast

dav668, the rpm for 30-50kph is around 1k to 1.5k, so it might due to the low rpm.
most likely i would be going to puchong umw service center for my 5k service, if possible during weekdays. maybe they will provide slightly better service during weekdays.
i will inform them about this issue, along with the "squishy" sound and the HUD reset issue.
