I believe there are always people with different demand or preference in our society. The existence of an international school will give this extra option other than the sekolah kebangsaan, chinese or tamil schools. It is always advantageous to have people from all walks of life and with different disposable income to conjugate in a place, which will spur the various economic activity and at the end of the day makes that place ONG!
Taking a township like Setia Alam as an example, there is a chinese school and Tenby international school. Both schools are basically having an overwhelming demand from the folks staying in the vicinity. They actually have limited place in their school and are quite selective when taking in student enrollment. This shows demand for both types of schools. Nowadays we are seeing more and more developers having international schools in their development, e.g., Tenby international school in Tropicana Aman and GEMS international school in Tropicana Metropark. I am sure these international schools have made their market study before deciding to invest so much in that area. Just my 2 cents. QUOTE(leongyitseng @ Aug 26 2015, 11:25 PM) All sifus, Industrial area which I would consider near to Semenyih or Kajang, would be Balakong, Selesa Jaya, Cheras Jaya, Bandar Baru Bangi, Beranang, Nilai.International is nice to have and can attract expat into the township. It'll increae the appreciation. So afterall no harm to have international school. I would prefer a good government primary and secondary school. Not every parents afford to send their kids to international school. I am one of those. I compare the setia alam and em since the same group is developing the township.. Em is better in the overall planning. Both town are almost the same distance to klcc, since i work in klcc. However, i noticed that what makes setia alam flies is the industry/factory near shah alam and klang. There are many hires that working in the factories but how about semenyih and kajang. These create a supply and demand that drive up the propert price. As i noticed, there are not too many business activities that can help to attract and sustain the township. I'm not familair with Semenyih and Kajang. Can anyone shed the light? |

QUOTE(Diver Lim @ Aug 27 2015, 12:11 AM) Yes, I always said nice to have. Agree that not all Hermes owner are billionaire and not all billionaire need Hermes. Well my point is, it does gives more options to the people.Hermes, Lambo are selling very well I know but it's not fair to relate it with income status. Not all Hermes owner are billionaire and not all billionaire need Hermes. Opening an international school are cheaper and easier than applying a government school (for developer).try to apply a sekolah tamil and sekolah cina and see how long and how much (to build) it would probably take. Yes, it might be easier for the developer to apply for an international school as you said, but we should bear in mind that international schools are just like any business entities, they have to do their due diligence too in order to ensure their investment does not go down the drain should they decide to invest in that area. |

QUOTE(samkps @ Aug 27 2015, 12:33 AM) As I said, be it international school or local government school, people tend to have it as a choice and it serves for different targeted market requirement. If being given a choice between a housing project with international/national school and the other one doesn't have such facility, people definitely will choose the former. But if given a choice between a housing project with international school compare to another one with national school, it shall depends on the individual preference, some will opt for national school but some other will choose international school instead, all depend on the individual's need and requirement. I presume it is not fair to claim housing project with national school shall be always superior than the one with international school or vice versa, as it depends on the individual preference and requirement. Agreed 100% Ecohill / EcoMajestic are "gifted" coz before they are here, we already have 2 chinese primary schools in Semenyih. Currently with the entrance of Tenby and perhaps another choice of SRJK in EM, we will have a quite comprehensive hub of education service within the vicinity. The condition is much better than area such as Mahkota Cheras/Sungai Long which already have thousands of people have bought property there but till now still fighting for the completion and opening of a SRJK in that area.. |

QUOTE(restful increase @ Oct 6 2015, 12:57 AM) i saw the tenderfields sale chart. Tenderfield has several sizes. Most hv achieved 80 to 90% sales except for 1 type (cant recall which type, could be the bigger size one) which only recorded 30% sales. The SA told me they just opened it for booking quite recently but i cant verify whether what she said is correct or not. I think is the 2C type, 35' x 75'. Those are near to the surau, tadika and dewan. |
