So, registration is opened! Preferbably you will use your gamertag so that its easier to know who is who online

Rules

2. Go to Leaderboard
3. Select the name
4. Select Invite to Game
5. Matches will automatically adhere to our league rules

Agreed with the rules suggested by terranova. But maybe duration might want to prolong it to mayb 2 weekly or monthly. If period is longer maybe 4 games per season depends on how many teams in the league.

Well, I would say no chatting just in case someone decides to try and distract the opponent..unless of course u have something important to say like..

"Dude i need to go to the toilet"

i think we're all man enough not to use cheap tricks like distracting our opponents. Whats the fun of it? If we all play nice and fairly, however at the top of the league will at least feel proud that he/her is there based on skills not cheat. And no one below the top stop will dispute it.

Anyway, the reason i suggested the "no in-game chatting rule" is not because of "dirty trick" worries (I mean come on, we're all mature adults here) but because some people might actually prefer to focus on the game in silence. Later if don't talk so much in-game people say why so snobbish. Hahaha ....

Also, I've come across some players who love to curse and swear while playing, which is painful to my delicate innocent ears. *self-induced vomit*

well if the people dont want to chat then they can turn their mikes off. but some do want to chat and i think it shoutld b optional. if i play on live i wud always want to use voice chat. agreeable? so how bout this

Yeah ranked game. Adds a certain intensity to the game. Personally, doesn't matter to me la ... rank no rank also sama saja ... sure lose one!

Also, try not to make the season last so long i.e. all games to be completed within x days (e.g. 14 days) of starting the league. Then when one season finished, we have a new champion and runners-up, we can always start a new season again and introduce new players. My 2 cents.

The other problem may be that once all the other games flood the scene, e.g. GoW, CoD3, R6V etc FIFA07 may be on the backburners.

Alright, mistaman, we shall start this weekend, and probably meet up with some of you guys face to face at GH on Saturday

The league can start anytime actually since each respective fixture is determined by both players privately. The fixtures are not pre-determined before the league commences, nor are they fixed by the organisers (since technically there aren't any!)

The idea is to fix a reasonable period of time before the league commences to complete all your fixtures (say 14-30 days, depending on how many players participate). Once the league period is pre-determined and fixed upfront e.g. 21 days, all games must be completed within that timeframe. I assume no one will want to forfeit their game.

My 2 cents.

Well, I dont mind fixing the fixtures. But which do you guys prefer? Fix urself or I fix for you?

zio, i think wad terranova meant is to fix the time frame to complete games, not fixing dates for each fixture. Susah la to fix and sometimes cannot play at the fixed time.

Ahh what I meant was a combo of the two. I'll fix the fixtures then give everyone a time frame say 1 week to complete those matches.

We can even play the home and away game at the same time so that is more efficient on time planning.

Eg:

I'll fix you and terranova as one of the first round games today. You have until next Tuesday to complete two games (home and away).

The general rule is that it wont be allowed but you can check with your opponent if he wants to or not.

I'm ready to play my first round fixtures, but I thought the rules states league commences on Nov 18, that's why.

Also, just thinking it through. The rules should add a couple more things.

(1) Do we take the results up to full time 90 mins only, or include extra time?

(2) Because these are ranked games, irregardless of what is the decision in (1) above, players should finish the game up to penalty so that you don't have bad DNF%. However, score/points should only be up to 90/120 mins, depending on consensus to (1) above. Therefore, it is possible for a game to end up a DRAW.

(3) Points awarded as follows: win = 3 points, draw = 1 point and lose = 0 points.

(4) Substitutions allowed : 3

(5) Bookings/offside/injury set to : ON

(6) Ball : default

Does anyone know what the recent update did to the game? I played FIFA07 last nite after a week's layoff and it prompted me to update. Scoured the web but couldn't find anything. Not sure, but feel the game has been tweaked somewhat.

Just read somewhere that you can turn off the (irritating) ESPN Radio : navigate to Football News -> press Start -> ESPN Settings -> turn off.

Played it last night, dint prompt me to update. Although I think there is a roster update when you try to play Live.
