OK guys .... pls sign-up if you're interested to kick-off a small-scale tourney. I'm thinking we start with a weekend tourney, group of 4-6 playing over Fri-Sun like our previous LYN Cup #1, but of course now it shall be called UEFA Cup #1.

To give time to the newcomers who just got the game (stares at kernkraft ... hehehe), I'm thinking we start it off next weekend and can play the tourney until Tuesday 1 May which is a public holiday. What do u guys think? Your input appreciated. Thanks.

Eh? Now your UT has become "all English" ah? No more United Nations? I'm actually thinking of adding some non-English strikers to my Team B, e.g. T. Henry, Trezeguet, Shevchenko, etc. What u think?

Re. using only UT for the league, I think majority rules as always. See what the others have to say.

Personally, I think it may not be fair on the newer player (i.e. those who just got their UEFA) since they haven't had sufficient time to build their UT yet. Furthermore, they may not have so much credits built up to buy contract cards etc ..... if we play UT in the league, those games will reduce your players/staff contract by probably 10+ games by the end of the league. For me, I have no probs since most of my players have 30+ games to their contracts.

Why u looking for me over the weekend ah? Want to try out your all-new English UT is it? Come come ..... tonite we play. I use my Team B!! Hahaha .... joking joking. Was busy over the weekend. I popped in around midnite on Saturday for a while but played C&C3, then switched channels to watch Man U play balls. And that's exactly what they did. (thankfully Chelsea did the same to themselves!). Last nite was busy setting up my Mac as a media centre and reprogramming my remote control. Tonite we play .......... ok?

So far we have 5, maybe we just wait for one more to make it 6 (even numbers). If anyone wants to pull out, pls let us know ASAP and don't FFK at last minute. If you're in, we expect you to play all your games. Let's target this Sat (28 Apr) to start the tournament, and end the following Tuesday (May 1 - public holiday). So u guys have a few more days to train!!!

Yup. Spent the whole weekend revamping my team. All my core players are English now except for my goalkeepers (american/brazilian).

My subs got foreigners lah...like Italian, Argentinian and Spanish. Yesterday, somebody was selling Owen for 800 points but at that time I only got 750. I played a game to top up my points and Owen was already gone. Im trying to get Aaron Lennon for my team. I emphasized pace for all positions...

but my playes morale are still hovering over 60s...need to get more team talk cards...

A. Lennon is usually available on the server for about 1,000 credits. He plays as a LF in this game. I already have C.Ronaldo for this position. T. Henry is very rarely found on the server, still on the lookout to hook him. M.Owen for 800 points is cheap ... i noticed his asking price have come down a lot since the early days .... at first around 4k-5k credits. But I find Owen lacks oomph in this game. His shooting is so-so only.

IMHO, best way to boost morale is get your hands on lots of Bronze packs. They're cheap and effective. Although each bronze card may only give you a morale boost of say +6 or +8, combine that with a strong manager for morale bonus (e.g. my manager gives a +8 morale bonus) and soon, you'll get the players' morale up in no time. So each bronze card can boost one player by +16, and many a times each Bronze pack comes with 2-3 team talk cards. That's how I got all my players' morale up to 99/100.

Guys, my UT is really crappy as I have not been playing with it. I suggest you open to everyone to select their own teams. I would like to play with you guys but not sure if I can commit the time. So for this, I will sit out. Not fair to you guys if I cannot make it.

Anyway, I will follow closely the results of this tournament!

OK. Thanks for confirming though ... appreciate it. You can use any team ..... not just your UT. That's what I feel is fair as well esp to those who havent got their UT team properly assembled yet. If u think u can make it, let us know before this Thursday. I'll close off the entries on that day and draw up the league. Cheers .....
