EMG 57/66 Set. Active pickup. - http://www.emgpickups.com/57-66-set.html

The problem lies when i cant use my current stock middle pickup because it is passive. And the new neck and bridge is active. I was told to find a single coil active middle pickup. Anyone has any recommendation? I was thinking about EMG SA single coil active. My priority is a really good clean sound. Thanks everyone. hope to hear it from you

theres a few issues with your quest

a good clean sound tends to come from a low o/p pup, which is a s.coil or a vintage styled low o/p PAF. Actives or high O/P pups tend to overdrive your amp, giving you a very distorted sound very easily. wanting to stuff your guitar with actives or stack coils does defeat the purpose somewhat

also why cant you use the middle pickup.

I would advice you to check with the EMG support to see which model is compatible. I tried doing the same thing with an EMG SAVX in the middle but it didn't work, the parts for the 57/66 seem to be different than the other EMG models.

I would just leave a single coil in there for looks, as the 57/66 set sounds great clean, super awesome when distorted. You wouldn't miss the middle pickup.
