My suggestions:
Marble Cheese - Secret Recipe's signature creation. Smooth creamy baked cheese on crunchy oat nut base.

Americano - A light creamy baked cheese topped with semi-sweet melted chocolate.

Blueberry Cheese & Raspberry - Baked cheese topped with blueberries and raspberries respectively.

They even have Expresso, Cappucino, Classic and Plain in their cheese line. Anyway cake associated with the word "cheese" in Secret Recipe, I LIKE! "drool:

tiramisu hmmm if want tiramisu go to italiannies or sichuan.. I not sure whether both spellings for the place is correct or not haha. For main dish in secret recipe u can try cordon bleu chicken or the bbq chicken that is served with rice...hmmm i think dont eat cordon bleu not that nice smile.gif Remember not to eat their fish and chips. Their tartar sauce is like shit. Their cakes are relatively up to standard so it is pretty safe for u to take any cake.

Definitely going to be Banana Chocalate and Moist chocolate cake (in Mid Valley there where they heat up the cake and it was yummy!!). The tiramisu cake was not quite delicious. I also didnt like the cheese cake except caramel cheese. Spagetti also delicous..

Classic Cheese is my first choice.

Lamb shank is nice but depends on the outlet, i think.

I ate twice in diff outlet (Jusco Taman Equine and IOI Mall) and the taste is diff.
The one in IOI is much more better or may be degraded after few months - not sure.

Hands down their lamb shank, the best I've ever eaten so far.

As for the rest, they are all average only and horribly overpriced, even their cakes.

let revive old thread.

today i went to jusco melaka ayer keroh secret recipe.

ordered my favourite course, Chicken Cordon Bleu. and my frens ordered chicken lasagne.

i am totally disappointed.

the chicken is overcook and hard to chew. the fries is not edible. all overcook. i bet cat donwan to eat it too....

the lasagne is full of oil; not like it use to be. like sardine in can edy. so oily!

wanna go complaint to their manager but their manager is not there. ceh~ i am totally speechless as their worker donno wat to do.

they offered me to replace new dish but i refuse as i am no mood edy.

btw, other places, if i go complaint their food, they will take it n replace it immediately. gee~ sad.gif

edit

yes, i am picky and love to complaint; especially food. if u wanna flame me, i will ignore it. i just wanna share my experience. TQ!

read from yesterday ST business news, SR had won the frnachaising and licenceing award in SG. about 180 branches mainly focussing in MY.

Since the business is franchaised, do not expect the food quality to be the same for some items especially self prepared cook food. Main supplies are from the principal, but items such as whatever chicken .. Gorden Blue chicken? .. very much depends on the staff skills...

So the most consistent items, would very much be cakes, even beverages... I hope... because, sometimes, owner want to save cost, put lesser ingredients or more water ...

how to complaint?

easy...just call the waiter, n tell them u wanna meet with their manager...if manager not there, sm1 else higher position than waiter will come n entertain u...

if no 1 come....then i guess say goodbye to dat branch lar... laugh.gif

wat i did is, when the manager come, i will tell them dats not my first time having the same dishes...just tell them it taste bad, cold, weird, not fresh wat so ever u think...they will chk ur food...speak with nice word laa...dont scold them kaw2 unless he started to use vulgar word 1st...then its ur pleasure to be ah beng!

haha...
i learned this from my friends...she always had no luck...when eat piza, spaggeti, etc....always got hair inside (inside ok..not outside...imagine there's hair inside ur lasagna sweat.gif ) ...then she will straightly call the manager n the manager will give new dishes.

u cant ask money back...but usually they will replace it with new same dishes or side dishes. depend on manager. just discuss/negotiate properly.

if they refuse to change new one, u just said, the money is urs. if they refuse, then u can refuse to pay i guess. but this i think is ur last resort la. i nvr failed b4 in this kind of situation.... smile.gif

customer always rite....n yeagh, me n my frens r one fussy customer... sweat.gif

still think choc mud cake is the best. choc indulgence comes 2nd.
I'm not a choc lover. But choc mud cake is simply lovely~

have u guys tried their hot caramel macciato?
*thumbs up*

my friend said he tried Starbucks' iced caramel macciato.. & it's a "waste of money".
No offense. That's exactly what he said.

Oh well. Everyone has different taste buds I guess =)

i think d taste for their food really depends on the branch. ive had bad experienced wit jusco maluri SR branch...chicken gordon bleu was sux..macam ayam lama. for the cakes, they all get them from kl branch. all states hv to wait for the cakes from kl.

I like their lamb stew. And also the caramel cheesecake.

I have notice that sometimes their cakes are a bit old, and thus affect the taste. When i go to an outlet with faster turnover, thus fresher cakes, it taste better. I have tried that with chocolate moist cake and carrot slice.

@annabel,
i totally agree with you!
went to the secret recipe at ground floor, amoda building opposite times square somewhere at the end of last year.
was served with a smelly / rotten cheesecake. asked the waiter about it and he told us the cake had been there for more than 3 days doh.gif
next time, we should see if the outlet was frequented by a lot of ppl... if it was deserted, we too, should just stay away...lolz.
