which hotel to stay than since so many negative views but have to base on my budget also..

my budget is below RM 200 since almost all the cheap hotel is.

my requirement is simple and that is must have fan, no mosque, quiet ,relaxing and nice greenery landscape.

what hotel will that be?

thanks stimix, KRS Guesthouse seems to be good but one forumer did mention about the kids.. is it noisy there and will there be any morning calls from the mosque? i hope its not a sharing toilet and the wall is not so thin. sometimes at night, u can hear alot of noises like people walking etc... it may be good for someone who does not easily irritate by noise

seems a good choice too.

Strawberry park can see nice view? Equatorial has a hill side view as claimed by someone with balcony.

Driving up will not take hour-lah probably ~30min drive from the main road  biggrin.gif  ..The problem is on the 1st stage from the main road to Sg Palas Noh tea plantation..that road is super narrow!

just came back from Cameron highland ... I stayed in Bala Chalet and its not bad. Spooky? a bit but its meant to be a quite escapade after all.
I try to book at Strawberry Park Resort on second day but the moment I saw so many cars at the car park and the noises all around the hotel, I went back to Bala for second night.

Do not go to Robinson Waterfall. It's a hoax to attract tourist. The water came from the City Huge drain and not from the mountain. I made a mistake washing my face with that longkang water i thought its a spring water.

You Hoo Restaurant was great. Highland Restaurant serving traditional steamboat is great without MSG at all.

Tcafe and its in Tanah Rata. The scones are nice especially the Strawberry Scone. Other stuff is so so only. French onion soup and mushroom soup a bit dilute.

there is a Germany Restaurant in Tanah rata, i wonder if it's nice.
The Corn is nice and fresh. by the way, don't be tempted by the overprice strawberries. some Big one is put on top to tease the customers but at the bottom , all small pieces.

Also got con by them ... some will tell you that the Organic one is sweeter. They let you taste the sweet one and when you purchased already, they mix with non organic..

my budget is around RM 300 - RM 400 . I want to find a place that is really nice and will have the feel of Cameron highland. Tudor deco hotel is what i heard make your holiday worth it.

Any suggestion for this range of hotel. I have stay in Bala but not really like it due to the wooden floor that making lots of noise and smell the chimney smoke in our room.

Got better place other than Bala?

smile.gif  If you want an easier and a wider road, the new road via Simpang Pulai is easier but you will not be able to stop in Lata Iskandar. The way via Tapah is actually not that bad and it is faster and the toll is also cheaper as you exit in Tapah. Lata Iskandar waterfall is still there for stopover. There is also a new road up near Bentong which winds it way to Bertam Valley in CH.

If you take Simpang Pulai way, you reach Kg.Raja and then you have to travel another 30 minutes or more to come back to Brinchang or Tanah Rata. For KL travellers Tapah is almost an hour shorter than Simpang Pulai.

Is the Lata Iskandar is the waterfall we always see on the highway when travelling from South to North where it's on the right of the highway?
If im travelling my way to Cameron Highland but coming from the North , will it be out of the way to cameron highland if i need to stop at that waterfall?

smile.gif If you are travelling from the North, you miss both the waterfall ie. Lata Kinjang and Lata Iskandar. Most probably you will branch into Cameron new road in Simpang Pulai which is just after Ipoh. For both the waterfall one is through Kampar interchange and the other Tapah interchange to the old Cameron route. Both are further down from Simpang Pulai, unless you want to travel another 30 minutes to 45 minutes extra.

You can travel to Lata Iskandar from Cameron Highlands when you have the time. It is only half an hour from Ringlet. If you are lazy they do half day tours from Tanah Rata. BUT is is not Lata Kinjang which if I am not mistaken the route in is through Chenderiang.

oh i thought there's one waterfall. than i must arrange trip to water fall and cameron highland first before i shoot north the next day but which water fall is good ? by the way, i hate to use old road up to cameron highland so if i visit one of this waterfall, what is the best road to go to cameron without the winding.

this is my travel plan , i decide to skip the waterfall trip due to Deepavali and heading up north all the way on first day. When coming back, i will use Simpang Pulai road to avoid the winding old road . My accommodation will be Strawberry Park as suggested for scenic and noise free from the road.

never been to CH for almost 3 years now. previously stay in Bala Chalet and i love it but this time we want to try a hotel with nice scenic view minus the sound.
