Hi, I'm looking for a budget stay in CH, but since it's first time going there, I don't know which one is good.
My budget is under RM100. Here's a few I got from internet.
Daniel Travellers Lodge Twin Pines Father Guest House.
Any comment on those?

QUOTE(stimix @ Nov 4 2008, 08:29 PM) Go for Twin pines & its sister guesthse (KRS)...KRS is damn cheap, clean & come wth attached hot water bathroom.. RM60/nite onwards Thanks.. I think we'll go for twinpines since it's cheaper. KRS was fully booked. BTW how about food. I think dinners will most probably steamboats but I wonder how about lunch? Where to get affordable lunch without getting cincang?

QUOTE(shockk @ Dec 9 2008, 10:48 PM) i tried the Restoran Hong Kong. Only one dish tasted nice out of 4 that we ordered. i guess i'm too spoiled with KL food. wanted to try Mayflower too, but ended up with Fern Nyonya because Mayflower like tak ada orang. Wah, when did you went there? For 3 days I was in Cameron, Mayflower was packed with people. They only charge RM13 per person. QUOTE(phatboss @ Dec 11 2008, 12:58 PM) izit safe to go up to cameron these day? I think Simpang Pulai road to Cameron is rather safe except for one short stretch before Kg Raja where the fog was rather thick.

QUOTE(morning06 @ Apr 6 2009, 05:40 PM) ermm planning to make a trip to cameron but den never been to cameron bfore... need some suggestion? i check some hotel and notice there are some in "tanah rata" and "brinchang" area? < any difference? and mind to suggest places to go? is there any transportation to go those places? coz i think we are going there by bus ^^'' Tanah Rata at lower altitude and Brinchang is higher. Tanah Rata is not much, only have a few backpackers lodge, small hotels and mainly a row of shops at the main road. Brinchang is crowdier, because there's more restaurants, a KFC, a Shell station and the infamous nightmarket is there. Kea Farm & Sg Palas Tea Plantation and the so many strawberry farms. Hope that helps.

I went there by car, so don't know much about the public transport. According to my bf who took a bus there few years back the taxi don't have meter - price quoted by taxi drivers.
Kea Farm still can take taxi. Going to the plantations also can take taxi, but when coming out, don't think it'll be easy to hail a taxi. My bf ended up walking a long way out.
BTW, in cameronhighlands.com i think there's some half day tour by the local tour agent. Maybe you can check that out.
