me and my family will be driving up to CH from KL. We have never drove there before. We are driving a viva-auto with 4 people. Is our car enough power to go up? Which road will be easier and safer to take? Are the lorries also using the new road too?

QUOTE(etigge @ Oct 5 2010, 07:34 AM) Whichever road you choose, it is more important that you are a responsible (meaning to the passengers and other road users). As long as you have that mentality, you will be fine, no matter how difficult the road is. BTW the old route via Tapah is not as bad as that. It is quite easy to drive up. One of the easier way is just wait until you meet a more experience driver ( especially tour vans, any 4 wheel drivers or even normal car drivers )and follow behind at a distance. It takes me only 40 minutes for me to reach Ringlet from Tapah interchange, so it is not that bad. Anyway, always bear in mind, it is not the 10,000 times that matter but the one time that you must be wary off! QUOTE(iXora.ix @ Oct 4 2010, 05:36 PM) actually if u using normal road from tapah to CH also can but if this is ur first time as driver to go up there i recommend u Simpang Pulai road. but u want the challenge use tapah road. at least use once in ur life laa.. the road to up there still okay. i miss all the attacking corner. haha.. use to drive my myvi up there with fren. just eat strawberry and drink tea 1 day trip is enough tks bro for all the advise. Really appreciate your guidance for the 1st-timer like me. As we have not drove up to any hills before, i think we'll use the Simpang Pulai road for this time. Will probably be staying at Titiwangsa Hotel.. though we have read about people complaining about the noise-level since it is facing the main road, but my family prefer spacious and clean room at that price range.. hope the noise-level at night is bearable with windows half-closed/3 quarter closed ...
