and now playing games without even umd.

but,some games cant run.maybe need to put umd also..

thats true, the No UMD still got issue with its compability. just use the demo UMD with the rest of the games

Where in Ipoh you get this price? Also in Penang, anyone know seller that willing to do downgrade or hack firmware to allow homebrew at good price? Currently street price should be RM 750 for brand new PSP, right?

Guys, I don't have a PSP but I'm currently hunting for one. I have a question - What's the difference between buying from a regular shop in Sungei Wang and Sony (KLCC)? I don't know how much is Sungei Wang selling, but Sony is selling for like RM1100-1200. Apart from price, will there be a risk in warranty, support or fake items?

Anyway, I was hoping to get an NTSC/UC unit. Wonder if it exist in our market.

if you buy from sg wang, warranty is from the shop itself, not sony.

why u are looking for ntsc/uc? psp is not play on television... somemore, its region-free..

Yeap, I know it's region free. But I wanna play UMD movies in the future. Anyway, if Sony is selling it at RM1100+, what should be the average price of a Sungei Wang shop. From what I know, the 1.5 firmware is way higher than others. I'm not planning to play 'Curse Of The Black Pearl' games.

im strapped for cash tho. can only 'mampu' only another original game

there're a number of worthy UMD titles for the PSP, depending on ur genre taste. but for semi-ori users Metal Gear Solid:Poratble Ops seems like the way to go. lumines 1/2 are a must if u like puzzle games. then there's the monster hunter series, u either love it to death or absolutely hate it. the second iliteration of that for the psp is coming soon. notable racing games Wipeout Pure, Initial D, Burnout and the upcoming version of it, ridge racer 1/2. if u hv any interest in golf, Everybody's Golf/Minna no golf is a really good game to get into. if u like RPGs, the Legends series 1-3 offer the usual fare. there're a lot of good titles, best thing to do is to try it out yourself first since u have that option. it's just unfortunate that most semi-ori user try out AAA titles, love it then totally forget to buy the UMD. just enjoy ur psp in any case

ok u not going to play jack sparrow game, its a better choice to get it from sony since u will get waranty for ur set.. isnt that nice.. hehehe

PKH, personally its not worth of getting umd movie.
the option is limited, the quality is soso (compare to a dvd), thus sony might giving it up.
the best option is convert movies and save into memory card

Changing your PSP battery into a 3 x AAA battery, which saves you time from charging, and you could charge the battery if you've a rechargable batteries placed.

But for the volt thingy if you're wondering, the PSP's battery only supplies 3.6 volts where as 3 x AAA would be 4.5 volts, don't forget that the AC runs at 5 volts and it runs fine, so it wont hurt your PSP.

Of course can play in Aeroplane but only after it takes off / land down.
Even the pilots played PSP in the cockpit also.
We used to know a very, very pioneer PSP member in our forum here whom did that but nowadays he's into PS3.

im wondering, why there is no game made that look like ps2 graphic? im not too much into technical but i see the processor is the same both have 333 or atleast the same.. hehehe ive seen most of the game look like small kid.. esp those rpg game... only few are in 3d.

now not much rpg can be played on psp i guess just play ff7 la and wait till the new ff come in.. hhehehehe

try Brave Story its in Jap but it has gorgeous 3d graphic, mini-gaems, (even the side quest is harder than the last story boss)
I manage to finish the gaem without knowing Jap language.To progress the story , just go from one place to another.
