Penat bro, semalam geocaching with MGS : PO walk until i lose 2 pants sizes already.

Well, basically there will be map packs distributed via UMD discs once they are ready, but at the moment, only Japan maps are available. There is also an astronomy program/game called Planetarium Curator Ohira Takayuki Kanshuu: Home Star Portable that also uses the GPS addon, as it tracks your position on Earth and displays the star positions overhead. I've ordered that through PA as well.

But its implementation on MGS: PO is very intriguing and exciting. Imagine you going on a treasure hunt, with the radar beeping louder and faster as you get to the geocaching spot the game asks you to, and as you reach it, you can recruit more soldiers for your game. I tried it yesterday night, but ideally, geocaching requires two person, one to drive and one to navigate. The closest geocache spot i got yesterday was north of KLCC, somewhere in the vicinity of that flyover heading towards Jalan Tun Razak. Walking on that flyover would mean SUICIDE, but driving would be okay, with one guy at the wheel and the other putting the PSP with the game on and the GPS addon, outside the car window. The GPS signal weakens if its not on open sky, and this includes inside the car (perhaps okay on the windscreen atop the dashboard), or blocked from the satellite view by high walls ( i got disconnected while i was walking close to the Twin Towers, the signal got blocked by the high walls).

This is very exciting for me, because of my work as well. As i fly across to my destination, i can turn the PSP with GPS addon on, and see if there are special geocache spots within my flight track. I can also try this at my nightstop places, for example during my stay in Melbourne or Auckland later, the geocache spots might lead to special places within these places. smile.gif

guys,i bought my PSP yesterday (Sunday,21/01/07,6.45pm). during the negotiation process, i ask about the differences between latest version and updated version. mine is 3.0x (something, forget the exact version). the sales person said, the PSP can be affected by viruses if u surf not securely.is it true? he told me that, once get virused,ur PSP can't be used anymore.there will be software problem.is it true?let say i want to transfer video n mp3 from my PC to the mspd, let say there is virus in my PC,is it safe for transferring?have u guys faced this viruses problem? btw, what is the common problem of the PSP?

thank u guys.or i might say, SIFUs!!

For my part, I have experienced one particular situation where my firmware (software) got corrupted which resulted in a brick (dead/inoperational PSP) while surfing the Internet. Thank God I was using an emulated firmware at that time.

So instead of you paying him RM120 for his services, he paid you back RM110? That's a nice deal! rclxm9.gif

QUOTE(four_add @ Jan 30 2007, 10:11 PM)
aih.. waste so much money. price like that can buy a new UMD or even 2GB MSPD
*
RM83 for 2GB MSPD

Means you have another RM27. Can grab a Chicken Buffet at Times Square/Sunway Pyramid and still have money left!

Anyway, let's not hurt him anymore. Just remember, if you want to install homebrews or downgrade or whatever, chances are there're a lot of people in here who would be glad to help.

He give me a discount of RM10.
MSPD 2Gb her charge me 130 imitation.
Screen protector RM30.
1 Game RM8 so total 5 games= 40.
So all RM310.

Added on January 30, 2007, 10:21 pmOne question, which directory in the MPSD i need to put my MO3 in 3.03 oec.
I cant seems to make the system detects my mp3.
*
1 game = RM8?? I'm gonna faint.
All in all, the prices he charged you are over-the-sky. Which shop did you go to? Time to blacklist that shop.

You put your MP3 files inside MUSIC folder in PSP.

PSP --> MUSIC --> [Your MP3 files here]

Man, the fact that ppl are charging money for downgrading makes me wanna launch a campaign against them.

Maybe we LYN-ers can help people to downgrade/install homebrews all over Malaysia.

I'm thinking that there's a major performance mismatch.

why should anyone list down for you?
...
*
Wah.. Nonit for that, I think.. tongue.gif I also easily get lost with the changelogs of so many official firmware updates from Sony.

Anyway, refer to my thread, yewkhuay, it's on my signature. Might not be a totally complete & updated guide, though. tongue.gif
