Cannot understand hahaha.. can understand first part, straight forward. But the y drop FD, u can borrow at 5%, but i holding 6% will be more valuable.. becos bond is upon maturity only u get the interest right? mean i issue 1mil bond, upon maturity i will get 60k right?

My credit strength allows me to borrow at FD + 2%

I issue bond at 3% + 2% = 5%
That bond matures in 10 years

Tomorrow FD rate drops to 2%
By right I can borrow at 4% now

But the holder of the bond still enjoys 5% (1% excess) interest payment for 10 years

ohh means ur bond value higher(ROI is higher) if FD drop, but only if u sell to other ppl la right? I think bond fund and bond concept is abit different..

You are not alone. I am in the same boat.

my big cap china used to go from -15% to +20% then down -10% now -3% over the course of 1yr+ lolz.. i keep topping up lately becos seeing positive news of stimulus by chinese gomen, but seems like not working. now HSI around 22k is like 3yrs low

just now my office come CWA ppl promote PRS.. I saw PRS at fundsupermart after like 5yrs can do redemption without any redemption fee? cos normal PRS have to wait until 55yrs else got 8% penalty.

No redemption fee doesn't mean that you don't have tax penalty.

Tax penalty is incurred by PPA or regulator not PRS provider. PRS provider needs to deduct it during the redemption.

ohh okok. Understood smile.gif The CWA advisors say, just follow this two strategy confirm can get double digit return: look at long term 10-15yrs and do DCA no matter wat shit happens lol.. I asked him about switching, they say discourage ppl to do so becos speculate market is hard.

But the interesting part about PRS is the tax relief, 500-800 relief for 3000 invest is like 15-25% ROI already.

any comments on this fund

RHB ASIAN TOTAL RETURN FUND

* The Fund is a feeder fund that will invest principally in the United Asian Bond Fund, which is a collective investment scheme domiciled in Singapore investing in debt securities issued by Asian corporations, Asian financial institutions, Asian government and their agencies (including money market instruments) by generally maintaining an exposure of at least 70% and above in such debt securities.

experiencing double digit return in 2month time, which is unexpected for a FI fund. But then, partly becos of ringgit depreciation that contribute to alot of non-Malaysian fund performing. If ringgit strengthen, which we are currently looking at 10-20yrs low will strengthen somehow.

Alot of new shoplots are being lelong by property developers in some sense like giving rebate and discounts since last year. Housing prices is like stagnant and 2nd hand housing price is kinda good bargain at my area. All this means economy is not good, especially oil price coming down and my city is driven by oil economy

i think internally there will be a clear cut line between the invested amount from EPF and ur cash. u invest rm1000 via cash, later u invest 1000 via epf, maybe they will show average weight of total amount of units and price, but at the end of the day when u cash out they will count properly.
