Anyone can recommend a good telezoom AFS lens for the D40? Maybe one in the 300mm range? I just bought my D40 a month back and I've been loving it!

Yeah man, always take the time to learn with kit lens. I am a little fortunate because my dad has some zoom lens but as mentioned, I have to manually focus it |

Because since you mentioned indoor, I guess low light will be a problem for you. Remember when you zoom in closer, your F-stop value increases thus reducing your aperture size. You need to compensate it with low shutter speed, high ISO and also a flash. The VR would definitely help a lot in those conditions. |
