hmm for me, i prefer tele.
i prefer the 55-200vr than the kit lens coz of longer distance, even when i was using 300d n 350d now home got nikon 55-200 vr, canon 80-200 usm and the tamron 70-300 macro |

Think twice before u use the teleconverter coz it will drop 2 F stop. go for 70-300 vr better, at least for me la Another u can think about is Sigma APO 70-300mm macro but cant do AF on D40/D40x And if u wan siok siok then buy 70-200mm F/2.8 la... |
