Guy I have problem with adding people into my Waze friend list.
In another phone of mine, I can see people A and B in my waze friend list.
But in Honor 7 waze friend list, despite I have added my 1st phone number, people A and B to the Honor 7 contact, but in Waze friend list, I can only see my 1st phone number and people A as friend, people B is no where seen. That is strange, how to force add friend in Waze?

You have to check Lazada app (iOS/Android) for the voucher code. It's not everyday that Lazada will give out this voucher, so you have to check it frequently and this voucher code normally appears starting from evening time.
*
This kind of voucher code from smartphone app, is it only appears in the dropdown notification? because if I see a voucher notification (like from the few days ago MyCyberSale), i click on the notification, which open up the Lazada app, then from within the app, I cannot find the relevant page of the voucher code already.

If not mistaken, you just need to remember the code and key in during purchase, then it can be use already. No need to download like 11 street voucher.

By the way , anyone use SD card? Any recommendation of SD card for honor 7?
*
I see. So it also mean that if the user forgotten the code, then to this user it is end of story already because there is no way to retrieve back the code, correct?

The items arrived yesterday in perfect condition:
[attachmentid=5074901]

Short review:
1) Nillkin anti-bluelight tempered glass is hyper-worth. With oleophobic coating, now I can happily glide my finger on the stock keyboard.

2) Thin TPU gel casing is OK but not to my expectation. The buttons are fully covered by the casing hence kind of difficult to feel by fingers. The right side of the casing does not "hold" the screen properly unlike all three sides. Fortunately, both camera & finger-print sensors are properly aligned with the casing. For RM8, it's just nice to hold but I'll be missing the cool alloy body of H7.

Where and how you bought the Nillkin tempered glass?

hey guys I am encountering some issue.
I installed two different medication reminder app.
When I setup the app, and test it by deliberately set the time of taking medicine to be few minutes later, and then I wait, I can see the app is working. There will be reminder even when the phone is locked screen.

But when I want to go to real usage, after I set the desire time to take medicine, it does not remind at all. No notification at all.

Two different medication reminder app experience the same problem.

I have check that I have enable both app to run in background.

So I do not know what is the problem. Is this Honor 7 bug?

Instead of an app, why don't you use the alarm clock function?

You can set recurring alarms at different times of the day, seven days a week.

The alarm will function even when the phone is switched off.
*
Well the idea certainly serves the purpose of simple reminder but that is all it can serve. There are other features on the medication reminder app which this simple alarm will not provide.

Typical medication reminder app allow user to input amount of dosage, medication name (chemical or brand), picture of how the medication looks like (a pil, an injection, for sucking, etc), its color for ease of recognition by people of specific needs (like elderly). It also has refill reminder, some also has pill count. It also store the record of medication consumption, so you can trace if you forgotten.

The app is especially useful for people with more than 1 medication per time, and more than 1 time per day, and each time the same medication is to be taken with different dose. Certain medication app also allow medication reminder of multiple persons, so if you have more than one elderly at home and need your care, you are in convenience to track.

So unless you are the type of people who suffering from an illness or has the need to consume medication of this complexity, or need to take care of patient, chances are you will not appreciate and understand what a medication reminder app can do for you.

Of course one can always go back to the pre-smartphone era where people use paper and pencil and still successfully control their medication plan but the convenience if the app is working is undeniable.

------

so back to my original question, no one has any idea why is the app not working?

Is there any battery settings like Performance, Save Battery, etc, which may be killing the apps?
*
Good point! I did not even think about this.
I will have to check when I am back home. I believe it is none, however I cannot be sure as of time of writing. Let me check it out first.

I have tried to check the battery management, the phone is set to use the highest performance (mean consume battery fastest) mode.
So the battery management thing is not the source of the problem.

I have tried an experiment today.

If I was to keep the app in the background, mean if I click on the right bottom button and the medication reminder app is in the list of all background app, then the reminder function works perfectly fine.

As soon as I clear the app from background, nothing work anymore.

I have tried the app in another phone (Sony) and regardless of whether I clear or do not clear the app in background, it functions as expected so I think the app has no bug.

So then i left to suspect the Honor 7 itself. I am very sure I have the setting in the phone to include this app as a protected background app. So it should run even if I manually clear it from background.

any idea what else I can do?

A side note, the Honor 7 is set to Chinese, as my parent only know to read Chinese. The app is also installed in Chinese although it has English version as well.

Hmmm guess you'd have to leave it in the background then.

There was once I was using some phone, can't remember which brand, and I was using uTorrent in the background.  Like you, when I clear the app from the background, the app was closed/terminated.  When I tap on the app icon, the app started all over again.  BUT, on other phones, this behaviour was not observed - even when I swiped it away from the background apps, it would still be running.

guess this is the only way but this still do not solve my problem because the phone was used by my parent not me tongue.gif
and he has the habit of turning off everything before go to sleep.

Can we set some startup app like in Windows? Such that when the phone turned on or restarted, the app will be launched also.

hey guys I have a major issue here need help!
After update from the OTA which solve the whatsapp notification issue recently, it is discovered that my honor 7 will not receive charge when the phone is turned on.
The phone can only be charged if I turn it off completely.

Very weird response if you ask me. Since the phone can be charged when it is turned off completely, I believe the USB cable, the charger, the USB hole on the phone are all fine.

So I am guessing this is another OS bug by Honor 7. But I wish to know does other users encounter this issue?
For those who have this issue, have you found a solution?

Best bet if you updated a phone through ota is a factory reset. Updating through OTA might leave you with bits of glitch, not unheard of.

I tried just now. Not solving the issue.
Any other idea?
