QUOTE(alvanyap @ Nov 23 2015, 11:19 PM) I've founded why there's confusion on kirin 935 GPU already, as per claim by numerous review site they mentioned kirin 935 is run on T628 while our actual unit show it's T624 Yup.. T628 is supposedly with 5-8 core with older Samsung using MP6 (6 core) while T624 is 1-4 core with MP2 is the normal implementation.. Kirin somehow using the MP6 design with only 4 core so in theory both Huawei and benchmark are correct.. A T628 MP4 would be counted as T624 only.. Hahaha.. Why huawei did this way is anyone guessThe truth is, MALI T624 & 628 are actually same design in terms of GPU, the difference is on the core which T624 up to 4 core and 628 up to 8 core, which means the mali t628 mp4 which means it's a quad-core gpu is actually a T624 MP4 |

QUOTE(ed0gawa @ Nov 24 2015, 10:24 AM) Does inserting an SD card to the phone cause problem? Try moving everything back to internal and see if its help.. If no more issue on internal memory then its for sure there's something wrong with the sdcardI just bought a Kingston Class 10,16gb SD for the phone. Right after that a lot of performance issue occurs. stuffs like Frequent crash (especially during multitasking where I leave app A,go to app b, then when try to go back app A. It hangs there. Or when playing game, paused it (leave the game, screen off) came back later, the app hangs there.) Apps not responding or can't open(like fb/whatsapp etc) I did move a few apps to SD CARD, once all these problem occurs I moved all back to phone, still the same problem persist. |

QUOTE(Dondake @ Nov 24 2015, 08:13 PM) A quick questions, how about units sold by directd? The website stated, Original set 1 year warranty by Huawei Malaysia. Is there any different from those at Vmall? If there is a warranty card that say warranty by Huawei Malaysia then it should be OK.. These reseller buy in bulk directly from Huawei and resell them so it would be similar with units sold by Vmall.. Vmall is huawei own way of selling honor.. Not every unit in direct D is Malaysia unit unless it is accompanied by Huawei Malaysia warranty |

QUOTE(darien_203 @ Nov 25 2015, 10:30 AM) All Sifus, does the fast charging tech need to be turn on? If you are using 2A 9v you have to turn on the fast charging to enable extra current to flow. Turn it on without the high 18w charger doesn't make any different if turn off.Any issue to the battery if always use it? |

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 26 2015, 07:59 AM) Hmmm... Too bad no testing unit for H7. Will visit maxis later to try G8 and 1P2. How about video recording between these three? The more reply, the confused I get. Haha... Just ask around in here or in the Facebook page.. Sure someone can show his / her phone to you during TT (if you paid for it).. Hahahha |

QUOTE(alvanyap @ Nov 27 2015, 01:45 AM) well, ask yourself what you want first I don't have 1+2 but I have nexus 6p (better phone than 1+2 by miles) and during my short spell (just got my nexus 6p a few hours ago) there are things that H7 is betterput G8 aside, between 1P2 & honor 7 i picked the later with following facts: 1. snapdragon 810 known for it's performance & also it's heating & power issue, thus honor 7's kirin is a better alternative in between snapdragon 810 & 615 (especially when 1+2 select to underclock the 810 speed) 2. im more favor of 5.2" which more single hand friendly & sharper screen under same resolutions 3. i dunno if 1+2 is sapphire also but honor 7 is 4. Expandable storage (althought 64gb of 1+2 should be more than enough too) 5. Price issue (im not maxis user anyway), for me RM1788.22 it's not worth for a phone that only slightly outperform honor 7 (theoretically) 1. Finger print unlock - H7 unlock is fast!! Really really fast and accurate.. I was taking it for granted until I start using Nexus 6p and felt slower and need a steady finger. 2. The IPS neo screen is beautiful - Nexus 6p is using AMOLED and when the brightness is high the difference are small but when you are using your phone in the dark / slight darkness the AMOLED can't really find the balance correct (color become saturated in lower backlight scenario) while the IPS screen on H7 tend to maintain color accuracy even with dimmer screen. In just a few hours I could see things that I was taken for granted on H7 was actually very very good vs other phone (even the flagship Nexus 6p) |

QUOTE(choonyink @ Nov 29 2015, 12:11 PM) How do you find the software between nexus 6p vs H7? Im a fan of stock android but it is too expensive nowadays. 6p is a different beast.. Great photo (miles better from H7 in low light), fast SD810, 5.7 inch but still fit nicely and the best is Marshmallow android.H7 in the other hand is a phone with additional feature and gesture.. Dual sim / external storage / EMUI itself have more things than stock android. To me both are a special phone on their own.. Some things are better on H7 and some on Nexus. |

QUOTE(choonyink @ Nov 29 2015, 03:49 PM) I'm giving you my fair assessment here (personal take so don't shoot me)H7 as other skinned android will have these issue 1. Delay in android update (more to change than just plain launcher like htc) 2. Notifications may have hit and misses - H7 early build (B100) have issue with whatsapp contact sync but rectified with B120. 3. No 3rd party ROM So there are few known things to expect (its not plain android that sure would not have issue) but looking at earlier honor devices there are updates and patches release by Honor to fix issues. A very simple example is how H7 is secured and patch in regards to Stage fright but its not something you could say the same even on bigger brands like the Korean and Japanese brands. They are trying to distance themselves from other Chinese manufacturer in the android and software space. |

QUOTE(choonyink @ Nov 29 2015, 08:35 PM) Delay in android updates are acceptable to me since more changes are required than stock android. I rather they do it properly or dont do it at all. An update that is buggy is a scarier nightmare. I think you are covered on all these..Some other Chinese manufacturer like XiaoMi also keep rolling out updates to fix bugs. But some how couldn't fix one of the problem i encountered. I don't mind frequent updates to fix bugs, in fact i appreciate that for being responsible as a manufacturer. Other than whatapps, Line Messenger got any problem? In fact i only use whatapps, Line and fb messanger. Haha. 1)whatapps 2)Line 3)browsing 4)waze 5)fb 6)email 7)phone calls 8)light gaming My list of favorite apps. Network signal, GPS accuracy, on time notifications and battery backup are the things I'm seeking for. |

QUOTE(choonyink @ Nov 30 2015, 11:04 AM) Thanks for the info bro. It might not be a technical decision when it came to update.. Normally its business decision that dictate android update where user are "encouraged" to purchase new phone to enjoy new update.. But some snapdragon 800 handset like nexus 5 are using marshmallow already. Perhaps there are difficulties in doing so, but it is do-able. Newer products like Mi4i, Redmi note 2 and Mi4c are on lollipop d. It's normal accross the brands (except nexus that have 3 years guaranteed update) |
