Hey,

My car buzzer inside the engine bay has been buzzing non-stop since last night. If I turn off the key, after about 30secs, the buzzer starts singing. B7t if I turn the key to on then it will off. No CEL or any other warning sign.

Any idea what could cause this? Also, will it harm the alarm system if I just pull the plug off that goddam buzzer?

just pull off the plug of the buzzer only. Your alarm will still function, no worries.

Thanks bro.

I forgot to mention, last night was heavy rain on highway. I have a feeling that contributed to the alarm

does it beep five times? it means something is not properly closed. try opening all 4 doors and boot, and close it slightly harder. especially the boot, sometimes it can trigger the beep beep sound cause not properly closed.
try this method and see if can lock or not.

Yes, it beep 5 times. I left my car unlock then went to restaurant and sat in front of the car for whole meal. Drove it back and then there is no problem of locking it when reached home. Zzz.

I tried to close all including doors, bonnet and boot. But keep beep 5 times. Or I need to reset before I lock it again?

if the car is unlock and not switched on but the alarm indicator is blinking, then you just need to press it to reset it. i think that will solve the problem. the indicator is the button on the left of the hazard light button.

just to double check, when all doors, hood and boot closed, the indicator at the dashboard there doesn't light up to indicate other wise? if it doesn't light up then just try resetting it. if it does light up means one of the doors/hood/boot switch actuator lose liao.

my brakepads isn't stock and it is almost dust-free

and so far my car haven't crash yet even though I am using local aftermarket brake pads. On the contrary, it is my car that got crashed into by other cars/motorcycle/lorry.

my faint memory of proton/iswara brake pads many years ago is that their dust are bearable. of course the braking power leaves much to be desired.

on blm/fl/flx, i've yet to notice/hear any brake dust issues from peers/random glances on the cars on our roads.
