hey why didnt any one thought about metalizing
something like the layer on the car head lamps.

it is known to be allumanium based type
and the way they layer in the lamps is put it inside a big vacuum-oven
allumanium pellets are stuck on a tungsten wire which is heated up
and the Al will ionised and stick to the surface(this is why it requires a vacuum condition.
and walla!!
a smooth layer like your car lamp

though you hafta noe some one on the inside to do this laugh.gif

at least it is a layer of Al which should have a better heat properties than chrome
and still have the same physical look of chrome...
