Hi folks,
Filed on 2nd April, refund credited back 22nd April. Not too bad. Expected it to be a lot slower.
Cheers!

Hi guys
Anyone here noticed mismatch between EA and e-filing tax deduction numbers? Noticed my December PCB deduction has not been reflected onto the e-BE form. Cheers J |

QUOTE(soultaker @ Mar 1 2018, 11:26 PM) Hi, sorry if this has been answered before as i got a little bit confused. HiMay I know if Transport Allowance is a tax exemption? under Traveling Allowance. If Yes, should employer put it under tax exemption (F section) or we had to deduct manually from the total income. I call LHDN customer service and they informed me to put whatever it stated in (C section). Means the transport allowance is not a tax exemption if your employer did not deduct it from your total earning and put it in section F. I had the same question as you last year, and no, transport allowance is not travelling allowance and not tax exempt. If ever in doubt, please clarify with your HR/payroll. Cheers J |

QUOTE(whycanot323 @ Jan 30 2020, 09:21 AM) i have a questione. What you paid to the company for the short notice is out of your own pocket, and has nothing to do with your income.i am employee of a MNC. i work for full year on 2019 with company A. lets say i work a month rm3000. 12months x rm3000 = RM36000. I resigned with paying for short notice of 1 month. means i paid company rm3000 on Dec31st 2019 to company A. My last day of working with company A also dec31st. company A give me the EA and PCB with RM36000 gross income for 2019. But in my view, my total income for 2019 is RM36000 - RM3000 = RM33,000 (minus 1 month of short notice) so what should i do in reporting my tax for 2019 in this april ? there is no column to fill in for income deduction for short notice as well. If have HR or Accountant, please advise. As far as the company is concerned, they have paid you up to Dec 31st. Hope this helps. |

QUOTE(Barricade @ Feb 13 2022, 11:28 PM) I have a lot of physical receipts for tax relief (eg: child kindergarden fee). Can I scan and keep it as digital and throw the original copy away? I hate maintaining physical copy. Interesting question - I'm curious to know if anyone has done it and gotten through being audited by LHDN and encountered issues.I keep soft copies in pdf already instead of physical copies that i almost always end up misplacing. |

QUOTE(cwk_lowyat @ Feb 13 2022, 11:45 PM) Hi guys, just want to confirm something. yup, you have 2500 under the first point which you can cover off on your internet subscription. For personal tax relief, If my annual internet subscription is 2500, and I bought a PC with 2500, then total of 5000 is non-taxable, right?? ![]() 2nd category allows you to put the pc with 2500 there, so a total amount of 5000. cwk_lowyat liked this post
