my class at tarc is as usual loh...need 2 be independent n do ur studies...planned 2 take class at ftms after result is out....

Erm, not nice to say it public la....although every tarc ecturer say they follow the acca syllabus closely, but i thk some of them tend to skip certain parts la (more internally focus). Also, the quality is totally different from the lecturers at other REGISTERED tuition providers out there....i noticed the difference when i went for classes in KSA for dec 06 sitting. U shd come and attend some of our lectures to taste the differences....haha
Also, i think this is the culture of tarcian to take extra classes.Deemed hard working like a cow (niu_niu, that's me ). CKF also teased tarcian b4 on their attitude.......but dont know why CKF like to tease ppl esp tarcians...heard he got lectured b4 in tarc some few years ago and left dont know for unknown reasons.....maybe somebody make him unhappy....mystery for coolly to solve...hehe

Oh...u left in year 1? That means u didnt finish the internally assessed paper? For me, the internally assessed paper is still ok la since it's an internal paper....but now part 3, u cant depend on our college lecture d la...as u said, approach n style also different!
In addition, one of my tutor said that she dont believe in taking tuition outside. I respect what she said... But she's just a part-timer, she wont understand it coz she dont attend lectures with us!! She wont know how some of the lecturer taught..... the way they disseminate the information is rather ineffective sometimes.....
When u read study text, will make u confuse without some1 telling u the understanding or the concepts...so how can one learn? So, i really salute those who self study for acca

I would have left the college earlier if there's no SHU top-up summer programme......
But sometimes, it's not really about kiasu, it's about wanting 2 learn more....who dont want to pass their acca at the most possible at the very 1st sitting? It's indeed true that some of the lecturers are internally focus...ehm, adv tax for example.....i realised that many topics were not taught....In addition, as i said earlier some of them really cant disseminate the knowledge....

Ya....3.1 approach is a bit different approach. 3.1 is more at strategic level whereas 2.6 is more on functional level. Hence, to sit for 3.1 it's not just about memorising audit procedures and pass. That's not the way....must be really sharp in 3.1 loh....
