im from engineering course. planning to take ACCA right after finishing my degree. the quest is, i dont know the starting grid. should i retake the whole 4 years to complete my acca or just a 2/3 years studying?

my option would be sunway college. i need to know the exact fees too.

Hi, dgrebel.. good to hear ur interested in ACCA.. but, as u might haven know, acca course is unlike any other degree courses.. it has flexibility, as a prof degree.. A degree in engineering requires min 4years of uni, but acca whole course is minimum 2years- maximum 10years (average msian students took 3/4 years), depends on number of papers u took per semester..

If ur holding a degree, u may start from part one of acca (to be renamed as paper F1).. unlikely u may get any exemption of papers since ur from engineering degree..

for sunway full exact fees, plz contact them.. bear in mind, besides sunway's fee, all examination fees is payable to ACCA UK in pound sterling..

hurm. thanx for the reply. does that mean the fees doesnt include the exam fees? what are the basic requirements? i never did accountings before, not even during spm. but, im keen to learn about it. even from scratch. im a quick learner. mind sharing your experience (from the bottom line to the top)

i thinks many ppl here is from science stream.... they even do better than the commerce students....

coz ACCA is just....unless ur a person hu can organise ur time v well...if not....no life surely...coz u find not enuf time 2 study....2 play n so on...

well,i'm from tarc, jz finish Advance Diploma in Accounting course. i'm gonna join ACCA and plan to take part 3. so now seeking job. iszit better to work while take ACCA part 3?

I have seen lot of working n study acca part time, n definately the best advice is finish up acca first.. "lower level" working experienc will not help too much, if any, in answering acca part 3.. my opinion..
