I'm looking for those that have creative talent in writing as I need someone to help me with my modding project. No need to have the game or even a pc gamer at all but preferably someone who's interested in (Roman) history.

It's for the game Total War Rome II.

Here's my Dev Diary Blog http://keyboard0gamer.blogspot.com/2015/06...diary-pt-i.html

Just message me if anyone interested or post here should you require more information.

What is it do you seek my fellow Roman? Does the creator require a scribe? And for what purposes? To influence the plebeians about your upcoming work?

I do indeed. smile.gif

There are 4 descriptions required and I have done two for Cassius and Brutus using Cicero's letters.

I need Octavian's and Antony's though currently I'm using Shakespeare's Friend's Roman, Countrymen speech for Antony though it may need to be amended a bit to represent the time. smile.gif

For Octavian I'm probably thinking of him receiving letter's from him mother (since he was portrayed as a momma's boy and being the underdog during the Liberator's war. rclxms.gif

Other things are basically just replacing the stuff in the descriptions (diplomacy etc) to fit the theme.

You have Rome II installed ? I can give you access to the late alpha build.

I have ROME II installed... although I have not played much of it. I've been out of the loop on Total War a bit recently and I'm unfamiliar with your mod. I don't mind giving it a look. My knowledge of Roman history is not that deep other than the general knowledge of some of the famous wars.

Is the description in first person (from the viewpoint of the general)?

The description when you you select the faction in the main faction selection screen. I'm not sure but I think you're on my steam friend list. Later tonight when I get home I'll see to give you access on my steam workshop. It's still hidden now so have to allow manual access first.

Basically it's a mod for the Imperator Augustus campaign but turn the clock 2 years earlier during the Liberators war and I'm using this map as a base.

Rather than give factions many settlements at the start, for balancing purposes I'm just giving each playable factions 6 regions only but added new factions like the Senate controlling Italy and some off regions, Hispania Ulterior controlling the southern Spain, Gallia Comata controlling regions in Gaul not under Anrony's control, Illyricum controlling Illyria, Creta et Cyrenaica, Bithynia et Pontus and also added factions like Rhodos and Sparta as free cities roman allies.

I learn my history from wikipedia too primarily tongue.gif so don't worry about that. Anyway, history wise should not be a problem as I have a lot of help in RTR dev forum at TWC. The thing is that many of them writes base on actual history which is a bit different than the game/mod. For example in one of the description given for Antony detailing how he have up to 20 legions at the start which I can't use it for mod presentation since in the mod Antony started with 4 or 5 legions only. tongue.gif

What I'm looking it practically some sort of introduction where the first part is about history as it was written but in the second part is how we implement that history in the mod base on game play and engine restriction.

Interesting. Drop me a message on Steam later today. If can show me some screenshots of where you want the description to go, to get a better idea. Any change in mechanics?

Have you played with any barbarian factions before where they can form this confederation ? I use that for the romans so that they have an extra diplomacy rather than all war or the normal military ally/defensive only.

I use the story of Quintus Marcus Crispus as a base.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quintus_Marcius_Crispus

In 43 BC, Crispus was replaced as governor of Bithynia, and his command over the three legions in Syria was stripped from him by Gaius Cassius Longinus, the new governor of Syria.

At the start of the mod Crispus controls Bithynia as the Roman governor, so Cassius or Brutus players can use 'Request Allegiance' feature (I'm thinking of maybe a better name for that) to ask Bithynia to join their faction and if the AI Bithinia agree than Cassius or Brutus will get the province and the legion, just like the Barbarian confederation work.

This is my Steam id. I think I've uploaded some screen shots in the artwork or screen section of my profile. The rest are mainly in the hidden forum though.
