hey guys wanna ask, i have a r9 290 radeon, and a fx8350 oc to 4.4ghz noctua d14 asus maximus hero x650 saesonic psu..

but im not sure which monitor to get.. currently using a 1080p 60hz monitor.. i would like to try 1440p but the 60hz is holding me back.. would like to try a 1440p 144hz IPS panel monitor.. since IPS has better colours... was eyeing on the MG279Q ASUS. but if in the future im changing GPU to nvidia gpu (maybe 2 years from now) i wont be able to use the Freesync function and theres no G-sync on the monitor... so is it still worth it?..
and especially 4k monitors are out now im not sure whether to spend so much on a 1440p monitor or not.. but def with my current specs my comp wont be able to support the 4k monitor. probably unplayable frame rates...

Yes, that's how they extracted more performance on the PS4 and XB1 with those low-ish end GPUs.

Might not be enough unless you get the variant with 8GB RAM.

Going 4K, anything with 4GB VRAM will be memory starved on some titles.

Hmm.. i'm on beta driver as well but Window 10. Didn't work in Dota 2 after official release of reborn client.
Yes, since the iGPU is GCN 1.1 so it have 8 ACE but the problem with iGPU is memory bandwidth.

But dev probably won't utilize that much since Maxwell2 can only do 32 compute tasks for parity.
I wonder when AMD will drop HBM for their APU.

From what I read from reddit/comment section, it is running with only 5% async compute enabled. As Unreal Engine 4 is sponsored by Nvidia, they prevents the full use of async.

In other words, DX12 really realizes the potential of AMD gpus pulling it closer/past nvidia offerings, even without full async support.

my HD7850 died. What is a comparable replacement? I dont need top of the line model, as I only play dota on this weekend pc. Probably something costing about RM700?

The old R9 280X is the HD 7970 Ghz Ed.

the HD 7850 by today's standard is the R7 370, which is also the R7 265 from previous generation.

All of them having the GPU codename is "Pitcairn" and all of them having 1024 shaders.

If you can find an R9 270 / R9 270X card, they'll be faster - more shaders, and they're cheaper too. I saw it on Compu-Zone's price list.

hm i think i got 50FPS + average on 1440P  ULTRA setting all on.  to be honest all smooth no bug or Crash(not yet) just 8 hour in game.._+ so not into care so much on performance.. thanx to AMD God ... able to overcome Gamework crap..
hm no need at moment.. i rather support AMD Radeon.. when one day AMD gain 50/50 share than i go  Hybrid xx  cause if just one company dominate, gpu.. price would be x4 time..  is all ready bad now..  you ingat Titan Z  harga..
