this is bad..

the barcode can be generated easily if have the full 16 digit sb card number (from the physical card itself)

i have other cards in the account so occasionally i will transfer my credit randomly to any of the card as 'active card' for usage purpose. even if they manage to obtain the correct 16 digit combination, it could be zero credit inside too. this should somehow reduce the risk of getting hacked.

My card ©️2016 Starbucks Coffee Company. I guess is around year 2016 used until now hahaha.

But this guys know my balance and can buy the drink and 2 pudding with Rm4 left hahaha.

I suspect that their new system caused my card/account data appears in that person account. Last time the balance is Rm 0 then they recover phase by phase. Maybe there is human error.

I don’t have evidence. This is just my experience. To be safe, top-up when needed. Dont keep too much credit inside.

I think I will get a new card and move credit to new card.

I have similar opinion. I think they might mess up during their transition into the new app. My sibling starbucks app account has my name attached to it even though I never share my starbucks card to anyone.

How to remove the extra Starbucks card inside the app? There’s no option to remove it.

Very irresponsible the person that used your credit. Hope you can get your credit back. I have emailed customer service regarding my issue still hasn't get any reply.

Yes. Their cs is worst, email never respond. Call CS ask to email. I don’t think it is someone hack my account. I feeling is their data overlapping when they move to new app and caused this issue.

I second that. They initially replied to an important query but weeks later. Then I chided them after which they never bother to respond.

Told them that an international brand like theirs, we expect better service especially from corporate but it appears they are arrogant and worse than many other companies here.

I am going to cease going to them and patronize Coffee Bean. It’s not that we don’t have a choice as besides CB, there are now so many good coffee/beverage outlets we can go to.

The onus is on them to ensure that they do what it takes to ensure customers satisfaction. Exchanges of emails is a medium they should use to fulfill that especially when it is requested of their customer base to write to them there if there are any enquiries.

Why should it be a burden on the customers to spot out which social media platforms are best to fish out response from them?

Just tells on the company itself if they do not know how or want to do it right. Period.

Contacting them over social media is also an official channel for complain. That's why companies have official social media accounts (bluecheck).

For me, I dont like to waste time on matters like this, and would like to solve it fast. If tagging them solve it, thats is what I gonna do. Plus side, the whole world can see their incompetence. 🙂

But it's up to you, not saying that your method is wrong.

This would be my last post on this because apparently you missed the whole context and I don’t want to waste time on protracted communications.

I was requested to email them when I initially raised my query. Thus, that’s the official platform. Therefore, not responding, not only is rude but absolutely the worst sin in PR.

It is not incumbent upon the customers to scout for alternative ways to get attention. Period.

Whatever works for you then. Like I said previously, you are not wrong. If you think you want to keep pushing it via that method then please do so. 🙂

I myself wants fast result. At the end of the day, I got my problem settled very fast by using alternative means.

Found out that one of my card with credit disappeared from my account (previously added into the account).

Luckily i have the card and went over to nearest to check if the balance is still there. Surprisingly the cashier told me that balance is still there, but card status is unregistered.

I went back and re-add back the same card, and can see the balance reflected in my account with the "new" card.

Have to be very cautious with them especially for this round migration... 🤦🏻‍♂️ eg. birthdate is not migrated, everyone has to manually update their birthdate... 🤦🏻‍♂️
