QUOTE(pengster @ Mar 2 2007, 09:22 PM) Good for you all non "i" users IIANM it does. as long as you mess/mod the software, it'll void your warranty. but then you can pretend not to know.. @vampiric changing the region code will not void your warranty right? p.s. my n80i can last 3days on normal usage |

QUOTE(vampiric @ Mar 3 2007, 12:59 AM) i dun think it will void your warranty. product code changes is something simple, not like hacking IMEI (in some country, it consider ILLEGAL). after all, product code is not visible in anyway. except plug into service computer. So by right, there are not product code writen anyway on paper or recorded. In my opinion, it's safe la. Upgrading firmware is 100% legal la. i know. but i remember readin it from somewhere before. but as long as you act innocent, you can flash the firmware and change the product code, as those are not stated on the receipt or warranty card.. |

QUOTE(wcwl @ Mar 19 2007, 11:19 PM) about the memory problem, just close it n open again then will works for the same webpage/website? what type of website cant open totally actually? hope someone can helps us about this IIANM it's not the website that causes the memory leak issue, it's the amount of available free RAM that's too little, causing the phone to close certain applications.. make sure you're not running anything else in the background when using the browser.. |

QUOTE(kenneth87 @ Mar 21 2007, 01:11 PM) My N80 getting lagger and lagger. Jz about 400 pics stores in my memory card. When i access it, it need some time to load it up. Even switching between songs, need about 2-3 sec for that to play... Sigh......Oh yea. I notice that my N80 bcome like this after i have flashed into IE - HOngKOng version. Mayb i try to flash into other regions will helps.... i seriously doubt that by just changing the region, the phone will respond faster. what i think happened was that you flashed your stock N80 to a N80I, right? and in doing so, you've accuired the later/newer firmware, which fix's a handful of bugs in the previous firmware. and that's why you feel it's faster. |

QUOTE(kenneth87 @ Mar 21 2007, 06:34 PM) Yeap... I did that from Non IE to IE. Means? Mine cant cope up to the IE version or there is something wrong with my set's hardware? Btw, mine is from US, will that matters? Sry for asking some nobbie ques... Any solution for that??? nono.. what i was trying to say is that the new firmware/software installed in your phone is the later/newer hardware, which fix's bugs in the system. there is nothing wrong with your phone and nope, it doesn't matter where your phone is from, they all have the same hardware.. |
