Hey guys,
I need some advice.

I'm playing with the idea to buy a Tudor Sub.
However, I have no real knowledge of them.
What's the usual asking price?
Where can I get a reliable source for this?

I searched Watchlim and found only one which he already sold.
It was a full aftermarket watch, and he sold it for RM1700.

Found one on Mudah, is this genuine? What about the price?

Tudor Submariner

Any advice, comments, flame-comments are welcomed. smile.gif

*full* aftermarket? not worth anything in my books. but if you want a b*stardised watch.. by all means..
*
Lol, I was also surprised Watchlim sold something like that.

Anyway, I don't think the one in Mudah is genuine.
After extensive googling, I can't seem to find a Tudor Sub with such dial?

Guys, any reviews on Deep Blue watches?

They have having Black Friday sale, on top of that I can get another 40% .. Think I can score the Master 1000M for around USD149
*
I don't have personal experience, but they say Deep Blue watches are very solid and reliable.
Very good for actual diving purposes.
But yeah, they are too big. At least for me.

Saw it at a shop before, honestly, i don't like the dome glass, looks clunky but i like the design as it was classic though. I'm not too interested in mechanical watches, would prefer quartz actually due to less maintenance and slimmer movement. ie thickness. Any other watch to recommend in that price range would be welcome smile.gif
*
Here you go then.
Orient Capital, same like Bambino but Quartz. tongue.gif

Steinhart's lume is mediocre. But I'm comparing it to seiko's lume. If it's compared to my LLD, it's great. Haha
Pic below for comparison.

I have a situation where one of my family member's tissot automatic is changing date at 11.55pm (not exactly at midnight). Sent to warranty claim since it's practically new, two weeks only. However, watchman in swatchgroup service center didn't wanna repair it due to proclaimed "tolerance". Can I win the case if I make this big? or is this normal among automatic watches?
*
It's normal. But it is an easy fix for watchsmiths.
Just jump the hands 5 mins la.

Whoops. So would it be their SOP to only sell new, display units?
*
Why don't you want display units?
Watches are not like shoes, where everyone tries the display unit on.
Ppl usually just put it on top of wrist to see how it looks.
And it will only be resized only if you confirm buying it.

Plus, they don't keep many stocks.

I dunno about Tissot stores, but at normal shops that I go to, they display everything.

Trusted & responsible seller? Anyone can vouch?

Dabrands has quite good reputation all over the net.

Not a very good morning just now. I accidentally knocked my watch against the railings which caused a small mark/scratch on the metal body. Are there products to remove the scratch or make it less visible? Or should I send it to the service centre and if so how, normally how much will it cost?

Thanks guys
*
If it's brushed finish, you can use the green part of a sponge and rub it in one direction.

If it's polished finish, buy some polishing cloth.

Anyway since you guys were talking about accuracy, have you guys heard about Bulova's UHF Movement?

"Well your standard mechanical watch operates at between about 3-5Hz - which is good for accuracy of just a few seconds a day.
Your standard electronic quartz movement operates at 32,728 Hz (32.728 KHz) which offers accuracy of a few seconds per month.
The Bulova UHF quartz movements operate at 262 KHz, which offers accuracy of a few seconds per yer."

Any Vostok enthusiast here? Particularly Amphibian.

Thanks.

I can say Vostok Amphibians are a helluva watch!
They have greatly improved the design of diver watches with utmost creativity!
Must be done by a watch genius.
Here read this, I have this on bookmark:

Btw, no, I'm not a Vostok Enthusiast.
I am a watch enthusiast. Good enough? tongue.gif
