QUOTE(jason18689 @ Nov 5 2006, 11:39 AM) i thought it is depending on how many seeders ? I hope TM Net throttles Klang Lama Happy Garden so you'll get 3kbps download.mine getting 400kbps all the time.... from Klang Lama Happy Garden , using rm66 package ! 1)*try limiting till 10kbps on your upload bar* 2)*limit the upload to <50kbps* *from time to time, reduced it to 40 then 30 then 10 then 3* *your download speed drop very less onli !!! * This post has been edited by TC_Boy: Nov 5 2006, 04:58 PM |

QUOTE(karhoe @ Nov 5 2006, 05:13 PM) Actually it does. That is why upload max must be set at 80% of your upload speed. So a 512/256 kbps connection must set upload max at 176-200 kbps or 22-25 kBps. If your upload max is above this then your download speed will be affected. The reason is because there is overhead for the TCP/IP protocol and the PPPOE encapsulation. Also, your pc needs the space left over in the upload to send ACK signals to confirm download otherwise you'll end up downloading extra data just because ACK could not be sent due to the upload had been maxed out for bittorrent upload. Remember 80% of your upload only. This post has been edited by TC_Boy: Nov 5 2006, 06:06 PM |

QUOTE(ah_chak @ Nov 12 2006, 03:00 PM) i'm on the 'satan' ip.. and i'm downloading 3 times more than yours You are most probably downloading from local peers. I don't believe any high speed downloads listed here that does not state local or international peers connected. |

QUOTE(MaGNiFiCo @ Nov 19 2006, 01:34 AM) i just noticed the torrent speed has been slow down for this week..below 10kbs..before dis got no problem to reach 100kbs..and i've seen so many from penang has this problem too..what happen lah...damn.. Welcome to the TM Net Throttled Club. You will get fast speed once in a while but that is an illusion caused by local peers. You'll get 0.1kbps from international peers. |

Ok, I'm here to rant. Why? I stumbled upon a freaking leecher on a torrent I'm downloading. I noticed a tm net peer so I turned off my bypass and figured I could peer with the other tm net user.
I'm uploading to him at 25 kBps meanwhile he's uploading to me at only 4kBps? This post has been edited by TC_Boy: Nov 23 2006, 01:59 AM |

QUOTE(Dookiezz @ Nov 23 2006, 02:05 AM) TC_boy.. u r not alone... You can block by using peer guardian. I'm using utorrent as well but just using the bypass is enough to stop sending to that TM Net leecher. |

QUOTE(excit3 @ Nov 23 2006, 02:12 AM) BitComet has DHT, uTorrent doesn't. With UT, I'm getting 10-20KB/s on latest TV series with lots of peers. But with BitComet, I can do 130-150KB/s on a 1mbit connection (RM 88). NO PROBLEM AT ALL! But utorrent has DHT as well and utorrent's unique Peer Exchange. QUOTE(excit3 @ Nov 23 2006, 02:33 AM) Well, my test results are as follows. Aiyah, at 27% and 50% for 2 torrents on utorrent. Cannot abandon. Test later but other bitcomet users don't have success either.3 files, huge peerlist uTorrent: 20-30KB/s BitComet with DHT: 130-150KB/s files Aiyah, anything that works, just use it lah Wait a minute, huge peerlist? Sorry, not that popular. Just 30 peers. This post has been edited by TC_Boy: Nov 23 2006, 03:26 AM |

QUOTE(nwk @ Nov 25 2006, 12:45 AM) the more you show off your "tunneling" speed, the more likely you are going to be targeted by tmnut for throttling. remember tmnut spies are here 24/7 in this forum. if you are smart, you keep your fast speeds to yourself instead of showing off here. Just showing off. There is no reason to tell us your tunneling speeds or local peers speed. For Bitcomet users, remote doesn't mean international peer. |

Is it just me or local peers are also throttled now?
I don't believe it. You guys are still complaining about slow speeds when you can get full speed by just signing up with Virtual's VPN service. What? No credit card? No problem because you just need to bank in to a Maybank account unlike other VPN services out there. RM30 per 30 days. Check the top most thread.
