Salam & Good Day,
Very interesting thread here. Looking forward to see the neighbours surrounding. BTW, when u guys moving in? Im planning to move in end of the month. Hopefully all goes well..
Got some question.. Hopefully sifu's here can clarify..
1. Is it normal or abnormal the bathroom leak when we pool the toilet? I was told by a contractor that developer only waterproof the bathing area.. not all toilet floor. Is it true guys? Mine quite obvious, after 'pooling' the toilet for 20-30 mins water leak detected at the ceiling above staircase.
2. To those had lodge the complaints, how long does it take for SD to complete it? Do they ever reject the complaints/any items that we lodge?
Regards from Jalan Mahligai 4D, Zul

QUOTE(caviars @ Aug 10 2015, 10:36 PM) 1. Leaking is not normal. 2. Should take about 1 month to fix the issue. In my case, they just accept the form without any question. They also require access to your house so remember to bring in spare key for them. Noted for the crystal clear explanation. I hope that they can settle the complaints before I move in. I should have lodge the report 1st thing when I got the keys. Now installed the basic appliances and nee dto hand over the keys to them.. aiyaa...

Saw a lot of houses in Saron installed awning. Mind to share quotations for front & rear awning. Prefer poly carbonate material.
Thanks, Zul

QUOTE(Archronicles @ Oct 27 2015, 08:49 AM) Front might be useful if your neighbors are also doing with you. Likewise with the rear, if your washing machine-side neighbor is extending (meaning you have a wall) then only it is effective. If not, IMHO save the money. Observe the porch of those with awning after a downpour, water can still be blown in sideways. The only area I find some usefulness to reduce possibility of wetting the sliding door is poly carbonate awning for the terrace area. Yup. I've been thinking to installed the porch if the neighbors also did.. For terrace, I've placed the poly carbonate. It is very effective indeed.

Mind your language guys.. It is supposed to discuss and get update this platform. Better you guys have private message rather than bursting up here. Just my 2 cent.
Last Saturday night the rain was heavily pour and lightnings flashed. Suddenly the house went blackout. I went to the DB and turn back the 'kicked' fuse. It resulted my TV and Astro burnt. Later on, I went upstairs during turning up the bedroom light there was a minor explosion sound. This thing repeated in every rooms and toilets (upper floor which with plaster ceiling). It ended that only the staircase lamp the only one can function now. I suspected there was a leakage from the roof which the water sip in between the roof tiles. However, there is no watermark at the ceiling.
From the damages, I have lodged a report to SD earlier on Sunday. They supposed to come for a visit this afternoon. My concern is what is the cause of the problem? Is it the wiring? Roof leakage? Lightning arrestor failure? Grounding failure? Who should borne the damages?
Appreciate your opinion in this.
Sime Darby Properties (SARON 2)
Thanks, Zulhelmi

QUOTE(Archronicles @ Nov 2 2015, 02:23 PM) Quite similar thing happened to me. My staircase lights burnt and upon inspection the particular MCB had tripped. 2 other downlights, one in master bedroom toilet and another in bedroom 3 also damaged. Were you watching Astro when the rain happened? My TV wasn't turned on during the rain. If you can prove to them that water leakage via the roof has inadvertently caused the damage, I suppose you can ask them to pay for the damages. Something sure is fishy with the wiring in Saron.. or the tiling job for the roof. My neighbor informed that his Astro installer told him that the roof tiles were all not properly sealed. I supposed to meet them this evening.. The SD rep called me and informed they will come to pay for a visit with the M&E and contractor. The TV & Astro was switched off. Suddenly it hit then all burnt out. If this not solve definitely it will be a repeated issue.

QUOTE(Archronicles @ Nov 2 2015, 02:38 PM) Unfortunately I'm working today but please let us know the updates. What time are you meeting them? I think I'm your neighbor just few houses away, can't be sure. I'll probably climb up the manhole later to inspect for any signs of water damage. You are also at Jln Mahligai 4D? I will keep update. just seeking you guys opinion. I'm very dissapointed because need to cover the cost of replacing the burnt stuff. Hope SD can do something.
