Need to connect your audio cables to a set of speakers. The red/white cables on your video connector is for audio, and you need to connect it to your speaker. If you're using standard speakers, you'll need to get a converter to relay the two cables to your single audio jack on your speakers. On higher end speaker models, they should already have the red/white connectors for use

no question is embarassing. only those of limited ability will think it that way. you should know that monitors do not have speakers. therefore you will need a special jack to convert those L+R audio channel into speaker jack. Just like this one: http://jiali200.en.alibaba.com/product/500...o_Adapters.htmlLook for this!!

How much would a jack like that cost? And additionally the the 3 cables at connecting my 360 to the tv are not split apart far enough for me to connect one cable to the tv and the other red and white cable to a speaker....i hope you know what i mean....i dont know how else to describe this problem

There should be cable extensions available so you can reach your speakers. If you can't find one, you can always find another set of RCA cables and just use a bridge to connect your 360's cable to the other set of cables.

You have three option sonny...
1. Bring the speaker close enough to your 360. 2. Buy New LCD Monitor, New ATP3 or any other speakers and place them on special table for 360. or 3. Get a longer audio jack.

i used to facing the same problem like you as well..
go to lowyat 4th floor, there is a shop name start with Midixxxx (forgot the full name though)
they have all kinds of audio cables and jacks. ask for the converter like what necromanser mentioned, but it is female to female jack instead of female to male.
so your speaker cable can plug to the converter instead of the converter plug directly to your speaker. speaker cable length+ 360 output cable length is enough for you to connect both Monitor and Speaker separately.
if they don't have it, you can ask them to customize it for you, cost you less than RM20 for sure.
