guys help me..im using 8800gts 320mb and 2gb ram..but everytime i turn on battlefield 2,it just crashes back to the desktop..this happened after i patched the game..help?

does this happen after fresh install or happen after any hardware change?

no hardware change..i installed the game then patched the game..try to run it but crashes back to desktop after black screen..

tried to play other games?only in battlefield it crashes?

try adjust your gfx card settings in the control panel to all low first.
if still doesnt work...
only thing i guess is to reinstall with the FULL patch, not incrementals.

supreme commander runs fine..only battlefield 2..how do i adjust gfx card setting in windows vista? O.o" oh ya..forgot to mention..im using windows vista

if windows vista, then most probably its a punkbuster problem.
so go update it, details is somewhere around

wait.. u got the ori BF2 right...? why play only single player... multiplay is much more fun...

Having almost the sameproblem with CKC.

When BF2142 start i run fine then click join a sever get back to dekstop.
Then try again game load and then get back to dekstop.

When getting back to dekstop Game teminated.

i cant seem to connect... i just reinstalled my 2142 and patch it to 1.25... i simply type my password and i get offline soldier mode... could it be because i change from local area connection to wireless network connection?

well..u better play online using the wired connection instead wireless connection..in some cases there is 40-60 chances frequently dc or high ping..

Helloo..

My DVD-ROM drive cannot read anything since last month.. (probably faulty already).
Then, im using Alchohol 120% as virtual drive to play BF2142..
And now, i just reinstall my PC with fresh OS.. but i cannot run BF2142 anymore with that virtual drive.. it ask me to insert BF2142 installation disk in my drive, but da image already mounted in that virtual drive...

My question.. how do i play BF2142 without a drive..?

Anyone know how to solve this?
